SilentMode Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 The traditional way is using a very fine abrasive like Brasso, brass polish. You can also use a pen eraser (the hard blue one, usually joined with a pink eraser). Quote
bootz Posted September 21, 2011 Posted September 21, 2011 How do you build the foundation for 7 wide cars? I've wanted to try 5 or 7 stud buy I don't k ow where to start. Quote
danthaman11 Posted September 22, 2011 Author Posted September 22, 2011 I love the creation of Lego_lion ebayer..best cars! Thanks Vicmackey80. I didn't know that it was possible to make cars with space for two passengers that looked this good. I like very much your designs. Thanks for sharing them with us. Thanks johnnyvgoode. You can also use a pen eraser (the hard blue one, usually joined with a pink eraser). Thanks SilentMode for the tip. I have been using the brasso technique and it has worked well but requires a lot of rubbing. I will have to try the eraser technique but it proably requires a lot of rubbing too. How do you build the foundation for 7 wide cars? I've wanted to try 5 or 7 stud buy I don't k ow where to start. For 7 wide cars I make the main chassis 3 studs wide. Take a combination of 2 wide plates and 1 wide plates and put them together to get the desired stud length for the car you are making. For the passenger area add 2 wide plates next to each side of the 3 wide chassis. This will get you the seven stud width. The stability for your base will have to come from the car body. From that base build up your car. Hope that helps. Quote
