Katanakaji posted July 5, 2011

On the right side of the Samurai house,

the horse stables and the swordsmith (katanakaji)

serve the needs of the Red Castle to prepare for battle.

Seiroyagura posted June 25, 2011

The Seiroyagura (lookout tower) overlooks the gate

and provides a clear view throughout the Red castle grounds.

More vegetation to be added around the tower as

the Samurai house and the dojo can be seen in the background.

Samurai house posted June 20, 2011

Built across the dojo, the Samurai house serves as

the home of the pupils thoughout their training period.

Modestly furnished, they all learn to live, eat, sleep and train together under one roof.

Red castle gate posted June 13, 2011

The Kabukimon gate is flanked on both sides by yaguras

to protect the vulnerable stone walls from frontal attack.

WIP Intro posted June 12, 2011

After finally deconstructing an old MOC,

I've managed to clear out the workspace (5'x8' table) for my next project.

Two components which have actually been built are the dojo and main castle.

The dojo will most likely remain intact with minor mods

but separated farther from the gate.

The walls on both sides of the gate will be expanded

as there's going to be more space to work with.

The main castle will stay the same

but planned to be on higher ground/elevation by at least six studs.

The surrounding area would have more vegetation and some sort of training grounds.

Stay tuned as this thread will be updated as work progresses.

As a SW fan I would've kept the Clone Training Facility, but it's a good thing the two builds that will replace it are already looking wonderful on their own right. Can't wait to see how you'll further improve this castle MOC.

Great! Everytime I see your build I'm astounded at the details made in such a large amount. I really like the road, the fence, the long grass, and so much more. Can't wait to see more! :sweet:

Wow exceptional work as always.

Thanks all for your comments though I've only posted the general planned layout/updates.

Now the gate has been updated so go back to the first post to view it.

Wow, how did this get so far down on the page before I saw this. Another fantastic MOC ACPin, as usual. Your attention to the finer details is awesome. And your creativity is as well. Use of vines for tall grass, skis for the edging of the roof/fence. Wow. That's all there is when seeing your stuff, wow.

Thanks and it's still an MOC, so many viewers most likely pass it by.

PS. Another update done, please go back to first post to view it.

I've learned by now not skip anything you've done, even a WIP by you is worth checking out.

You're more than welcome to drop by anytime.

Congratulations! Your creations are awe inspiring! :)

Thanks and may they inspire you to create your own.

New update is looking good! If I'm to be honest here, I'm starting to get angry at you. All theses teaser pics are really annoying.

When do we get the final product?! But really, I kid.

I can't, however wait for the finished product, all these pics are telling me is just how awesome the final is going to be, but doesn't really give a size. Ooh the mystery!

the japanese peasants are sweet.

Those were based from some samurai movies I've seen to include every day life scenes in the MOC.

Probably next week as the whole landscape has been built. The only reason that I've shown these in parts is they won't stand out as much when the whole MOC is revealed.

As for the size, what you've seen thus far is about half of the whole MOC. The Samurai house and the dojo at the back with the stables, swordsmith and the gate in front, with the lookout tower in the middle.

What you haven't seen yet is the other half with the castle and the armies assembled.

ACPin, I lost count of the number of MOCs in this thread!

I like the use of brown hands on the Guard Observation post in the 1st MOC. Ditto the floor finish to the gate where the horse was coming in!

Just wait till he's done. Squint, tilt your head slightly to your right, and you can almost see it as one.
