The first element will be the merry-go-round shown here. It features my four favourite Lego themes: Pirates, Space, Castle and Town. The merry-go-round will have a SNOT-roof and be turned by a 9v motor. I'll also try to make the two cars have blinking lights, the cablework is already inside, just waiting for another order from bricklink. I'd like to hear suggestions and c&c for the merry-go-round from you! After the merry-go-round, there will be a tunnel of love, some stalls, a high striker, a big swing and possibly a rollercoaster. buddy Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Great funfair so far! It is looking more and more like a real funfair with each update. So far, I too particularly like the hammer stand. It will be interesting to see more addtions to this funfair. Very well done so far. ~buddy~ Quote
Abu Dun Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 This brings back fond memories from when such a fair was to visit my village every year and we little kids were drooling over the different things I can't wait to see further updates of this highly accurate piece of work Quote
Horry Posted June 9, 2011 Author Posted June 9, 2011 Thank you all for your comments! If it really gets up old memories from all of your childhoods, then I am on a right track Today I'd like to show you the sweets-shop trailer and the chamber of horrors. There is not so much to say about the new trailer, I built a variant of the aunt sally. The chamber of horrors... what to say, I never found those to be pretty impressive when I was a child (with one great ecxeption). So I tried to do a small one with some puppets and two poor guys that have to scare people. If they don't feel like workin', they sit at the back of the chamber of horrors and drink a beer. lightningtiger Posted June 11, 2011 Posted June 11, 2011 Great claw machine.....oh, I can't help saying this......"The Claaaaw" (little aliens - Toy Story) Oh, yeah.....swing boat, good one ! Not bad old truck there, though some roof lights and another couple of trucks....because one isn't enough to transport all that ! I can't wait to see your next lot of creating.....this is going to be one FUN park ! Brick On 'Horry' ! Quote
icy brick Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Haha love it !! Few ideas: - Bumper cars - a rollercoaster example in the temple of doom indy set (space or adventures.... themed) - a circus tent Quote
Gregorovich Posted June 12, 2011 Posted June 12, 2011 Looks great, well done! I like the classic town feel. Thanks for sharing, and good luck with this! Quote
Horry Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 Thank you all for your kind feedback so far! I don't know if I can make a rollecoaster, although that would be brilliant. The car bumpers thingy is finished (SNOT ground was a little bit more work than expected) and so are two other small additions, nothing special: A balloon stand where the balloon man gives away balloons to happy kids and a lottery booth where you can win free rides on the attractions. As usual, the ground around the booth is covered with old lots. The car bumpers has working lights. When the funfair is finished, I'll make a video of all the working details like the turning mary-go-round, the lights in the chamber of horrors and the car bumpers. lottery booth von HMSCentaur auf Flickr balloons von HMSCentaur auf Flickr car bumpers 2 von HMSCentaur auf Flickr Quote
Horry Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 (edited) I've finished the buildin' and updated the first post. Some more pictures will follow tonight. I'd love to hear your comments! To the town-moderators: I'd be very thankful if you could take away the WIP from the title of this thread Edited July 2, 2011 by Horry Quote
Fires-storm Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Well done on all this, you made it all match very well, and added pretty much everything a successful funfair would need! I must say though, my favorite two creations are the Claw Machine and the House of Horrors. I've never gotten the opportunity to ride in the bumper cars, lol, but this makes me want to so bad! Brilliant work mate, simply brilliant! Quote
