I noticed today that the batman.lego.com site is gone. Is it known if it is gone in preparation for something new or just gone?

That was gone a while ago, when the theme ended in I think 2009.

Well, it re-directs to Lego.com so at least that shows that Lego still owns the domain. If they didn't still own the domain I would take that as a pretty strong indicator we'll never see Batman sets again. As it is, there's just question marks now.

Because of the way domain names work, owning lego.com means you automatically own everything that is something.lego.com so they can make it come and go as they please without there being any risk of losing it.

My bets are...the Riddler had something to do with this. That cheeky bastage.
