legolegolegolego Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I noticed today that the batman.lego.com site is gone. Is it known if it is gone in preparation for something new or just gone? - Michael Quote
Fives Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 I noticed today that the batman.lego.com site is gone. Is it known if it is gone in preparation for something new or just gone? - Michael That was gone a while ago, when the theme ended in I think 2009. Quote
sok117 Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 If the domain name is gone, then that means that there won't be any sets to be released with the upcoming movie Quote
Duelpear Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Well, it re-directs to Lego.com so at least that shows that Lego still owns the domain. If they didn't still own the domain I would take that as a pretty strong indicator we'll never see Batman sets again. As it is, there's just question marks now. Quote
Oky Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 As it is, there's just question marks now. In that case, maybe the Riddler stole the website! Quote

lightningtiger Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Didn't the same thing happen to Harry Potter a few years back eh ? Of course my memory can slip from time to time ! Quote

Because of the way domain names work, owning lego.com means you automatically own everything that is something.lego.com so they can make it come and go as they please without there being any risk of losing it. My bets are...the Riddler had something to do with this. That cheeky bastage. Quote
