cerebus76 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Just picked up 10188 (Death Star) on Amazon for 10% off ($359.99) That saved me $40.00 and with prime shipping it'll be here in a couple days! I had it budgeted for next month but with 10% off I couldn't wait. Quote

sharky Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 After thinking more about it, I changed my mind on how I feel about Anakin's Jedi Interceptor. I picked it up this weekend, and after building it I'm glad I reconsidered. Quote
Koptokaff Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I just bought The Wampa Cave With Snowspeeder. It´s af nice little set, with a very nice snowspeeder. But the real jewel of the set is the wampa; it is so addorable! ... and I´ve got it for a bargain! Nice weekend Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I picked up 9495 at Toys R Us today for $42. Even though it wasn't much under MSRP, I figured it was as good a deal as it's ever going to get with the TRU tax. Quote
Bomba Phatt Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I don't often frequent the Star Wars boards, I must admit. I'm a massive fan of Star Wars, and the Lego sets, but the majority are out of my price range, so I tend to not buy any. However, I was in Asda Motherwell in Scotland, UK a few weeks back, and managed to find 7962-1: Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba's Podracers for just £14.99 on sale! Thats a saving of £67!!! [/size] My last purchase was 9490 Droid Escape, which I've also bought in ASDA (UK) for £8.50 (original price was £19.99). Probably they had some massive lego sale recently, because I picked up the last box. Quote
Bane Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I bought the Sith Nightspeeder yesterday. Thanks to the VIP points, I could get it for only 10€... 30 would have been to much. Review incoming :) Quote

Even though it wasn't much under MSRP, I figured it was as good a deal as it's ever going to get with the TRU tax. Coincidentally, so did I. The way I figure is I was going to buy it at full price anyway, so why not save a few bucks. And I was able to directly pay with money I already had in PayPal so I avoided some PayPal fees as well. Since, it's a TRU exclusive there wasn't many options at getting it below MSRP in any case. Quote
Handoyo Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Found 10175 Vader's TIE Advanced in a completely random store in Singapore. I didn't even know there's store selling a LEGO in the area, but I decided to take a chance and lo & behold. It was at about US$210, brand new condition albeit slight shelf ware on the box. Not too bad considering the cheapest listing in Bricklink is US$200. Shipping from US to here would cost US$50-60 I think. Quote
382nd Legionnaire Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I went to my local Wal-Mart and found they finally have the new sets. First I was disappointed they didn't have the new 9488 Elite Clone battlepacks, but I saw that someone had mischievously hid them behind the Endor battlepack. I picked up the remaining 4 9488 Elite Clone battlepacks and a 9491 Geonosian cannon. I'm building them now. Quote

I picked up the remaining 4 9488 Elite Clone battlepacks You have probably lost some poor child the last 4 battlepacks that he had to go home for to get his pocket money so he could get them! Quote
Japser Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Just bought me the 10212 after finishing the Executor! Quote
382nd Legionnaire Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 You have probably lost some poor child the last 4 battlepacks that he had to go home for to get his pocket money so he could get them! Not really pocket money. I only wanted 3-4 of them anyways, anymore more would be overkill. A commando army looks silly especially since I already have 100 Phase I clones. Quote
moop Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 My third Endor battle pack. Neat little army building set. Quote
Parrothead Rasmus Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 THe new X-Wing and TIE fighter. Nifty sets, great figures! Quote
Koptokaff Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 ... and then I found 8095 Grievous Starfighter used and to a very nice price! It is mostly to my boy, as i´m more of a "OT-collecter". But the Grievous-mini fig is a nice one!... and you can´t never get too many mon calamaries! Quote
fyrmedhatt Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I just bought the Jedi Interceptor and the X-wing in order to finish my collection of the winter 2012 PT/OT Star Wars sets and get a shadow ARF. This is seriously the best winter line of sets in a long time! Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Now that the second batch has arrived, it's time to report on the newest acquisitions: 9492 TIE Fighter (2x) 9493 X-Wing Fighter 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor 7965 Millennium Falcon (my 2nd - time to build up one!) Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 I've never really been a Star Wars fan and with the amount and price of SW Lego sets available, I never will be able to collect them. But I did come across Luke's Landspeeder at Wal-Mart recently and thought "why not?" It has some iconic characters at a reasonable price. It wasn't my first SW set (that was Ewok Attack on clearance last Christmas), and it most certainly won't be my last, but it will be a rare purchase for sure. I do want to rewatch all 6 movies though because I don't know half of what is going on when I look at these boards or the set descriptions. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Received my Shadow ARF Troopers x3 earlier this week from S@H. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I picked up Droid Escape yesterday at the Lego Store, along with Superman vs. Power Lex Luthor and an overflowing cup of PAB Legos. Quote
coinoperatedboy Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 The last Full sized LEGO Star Wars set I bought was the Republic Frigate. Loved building this one. Quote
pong0814 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Finally bit the bullet and grabbed the Death Star from TRU (Canada) Online during their ongoing 20% off sale. Still a bit much, but at least the sale price is on par with the US retail price. Quote
Sam892 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 Just bought the new clone commando battle pack. I mostly bought it for the Arc trooper and i have to say i'm a little bit disapionted with the commando droids they seem weird with the legs but its still great i payed £11.99 from TRU for it. Quote
jeux99 Posted March 31, 2012 Posted March 31, 2012 I just bought the new battle pack. It comes with 2 rebels, 1 stormtrooper, 1 scout trooper, 1 speeder bike, and 1 tree. I will buy many more for the moc I am building. Each cost about $13. Quote
