8484 Ultimate build lightning McQueen

I recently purchased an 8484 ultimate buildLlightning McQueen and to my suprise when I was almost done .... this happened

How weird does that look!!!!

Basically I have received 2 right side smile print as opposed to one of each side

Has anyone else bought the set and experienced the same??

The instructions say there should be 2 different pieces, so do all the promo pics and all set related material.

I now went to TLG's site and tried to order a replacement but this piece is not listed, likely due to the fact it's a printed piece. I sent them an e-mail asking for the piece ... stay tuned

EDIT - after looking at the set some more, one of my eye pieces (right one) is misprinted, it's too high, doesn't align properly and is missing the upper most "edge" of the eye.

I just built this yesterday. I have both halves of the mouth, but they don't quite line up right. It's frustrating, but not as much as your situation, I'm sure. I wasn't too pleased with the way the eye integrated with the rest. There was a bigger gap in the front than I anticipated. And way too many stickers.

That is strange.

My son had a similar problem with the 2007 Naboo fighter.

I'd phone LEGO and ask them to replace it, or send the set back to where you got it and buy a new one.
