Hrw-Amen Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 OK, thanks for all the ideas with the toilets and bathroom. I think I've come up with something that worked quite well. Can I now ask if anyone has any ideas on how to make a MOC television in minifig scale for a living room or bedroom? I've got some tiles printed with PC screens and keyboards which look good but can't find any for televisions? Quote
Gioppa Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Time ago there is an Idea book with stickers inside, and there is the sticker of a t.v. for a brick 2 x 1 with a western movie on the screen and 3 button on the side. Why i remember that?because is the same of the tv set in the set #376 house with garden,my first lego set with minifig. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Ah, you ask the right person here, I fix TV's for a living...now do you want old school square box or flat panel ? Remember to be realistic as best as you can so it's believable. For a flat panel, new 2x4 tile would be need in light bluey grey - mount that on two 2x3 lbg plates - line it up so there is a row of stud along the bottom - 1x1 lbg tiles in the bottom corners - add on the remaining two studs a 2x1 dark bluey grey control panel tile (the one with slide/joypad controls) and presto a wall mount flat panel of the early 00's ! Good luck and Brick On ! Quote
RubeusHagrid Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 From what I can remember there is a TV 2x2 tile in the City Camper set Quote
Lord Of The Fries Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) If you want a 2x2 TV screen, one comes in LEGO set 7639 (City Campervan). It has a City minifigure print and in the top right corner it has a City news symbol. If you want it I am selling the set at the moment on ebay (my username is 88pchapp88). Jargo Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 there's a tv screen sticker, 2x4 in set 7288 Mobile police unit. Quote
Vindicare Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I've seen on here someone made a flat panel using 2 2x2's next to each other. Nit sure what he used for the base, but that shouldn't be too difficult. Or, you could use 1x1 with stud on the side for mounting it on the wall. Quote

I've done something like that. 2 1x4 tiles, based on a 1x2 hinge brick 3937 and 2x2 hinge top 6134. I think they make a 2x4 tile now, which works better. 21st century needs some flat-panel widescreen tv's. Incoming shameless plug: Quote
Aanchir Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 If you want a smaller, more boxy television, there's this lovely one from the Spongebob Squarepants set 3827, or this old classic. In flatscreens, there's this 2x2 tile and this 2x4 tile, of which I prefer the second over the first, as well as stickered tile (mentioned and pictured in an earlier post) from set 7288 which is still on most stores' shelves. Jay Sathe Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 (edited) There is a TV screen in the newest Fire Station, and it is a sticker on a 2x4 tile. It is practically the same image as the sticker from the police set, earlier in the thread. Edited May 27, 2011 by Jay Sathe Quote
