Piotr Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Hi! Today, I would like to present you my new MOC, MG Metro 6R4. I was building it only week. :) I don't like to write about my models a lot, so I please for forbearance. Galleries: Brickshelf Flickr :) Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Awesome car 'Piotr', Great detail, looks rally-ready. Could you post some pics of its front? Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Nice design and amazing technique! I like the rigid hose used for the exaust system Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Excellent looking car 'Piotr', the rear styling and addition of blue gives it a little bit a of rally car appearance. Brick On Drive On 'Piotr' ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I'm very impressed with the unconventional (and "illegal") building techniques you've used in this build, particularly the tricky angling of some of the parts. The blue-white color scheme look fresh too. Great work Piotr! Quote
Legoless Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 (edited) We English don't like to be reminded about the worst parts of our automotive heritage- fortunately the 6R4 was one of those very rare case of a 'silk purse made out of a sow's ear'. Shame about the dreadful car it was based on. I love your imaginitive, well crafted MOC. Which bears testimony to the fact that, although we are probably world leaders in 'garden shed engineering' (and far more sophisticated low volume stuff, hence most Formula 1 teams are based here), we have really lost the plot in terms of mass production cars. [Edit] even if it was the worst ever reproduction of a 6R4- it surely couldn't compete with this! http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=31916 Edited May 26, 2011 by Legoless Quote
bricked one Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I like this one more than the real one! Amazing build Piotr! Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Very interesting car! When I saw the actual style of these I just was in awe. Is this the reference you used? Quote
