Horry Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 As I saw the new harbour-line of TLG, I couldn't help but notice that there seems to be a bit monotony on the type of vessels around Lego harbours. I don't have a town right now but I decided to try to offer a little diversity.I tried to remain within the style of the harbour sets so the ships could blend in nicely. In my small collection of MOCs, there are: -a paddleboat -an archeological vessel for lifting and cleaning artifacts -a trimaran (featured here) -a motorized catamaran for cruising I hope you like them!
lightningtiger Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 Now my truth cap goes on my head, catamaran - not bad fusion of SNOT and classic town, research ship - nice, but the roof of the cabin too squared off. Now the paddle boat - AWESOME - a highly original and very clever design ! You need a stack of those either in a pond or one of those 'tunnel of love' rides at a fun park ! Great work and Brick On 'Horry' ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 The Archeological Vessel is a good idea, and I'd really like to see a Catamaran as well, like this one: Catamaran Ferry by The Yellow Brick A small luxury yacht will also be a good exclusive set IMO. Just wishful thinking and maybe TLG would consider doing these as sets. Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Very nice boats! They are all great but the research one could be a bit longer. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Nice work Horry . The catamaran looks great, using the snot on the side is something I would have using when making mine. But theres one thing you could do to your's is building on the sides which would give you a bigger cabin or a bigger space for your minifigures to sit. The other boats are great aswell. I love the swan paddle boat. It's so cute Quote
