buddy Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 This is an excellent MOC! The size of it is impressive, as is the level of detail and the functionality of it. ~buddy~ Quote

Paul B Technic Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Excellent build, the size is huge :) Paul Quote
nielsvdv Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 very impressize! my only concern is the rc drive, as i only see 1 driven axle, with the new style diff does it really drive without clicking of breaking? Quote
Badger Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Thats amazing , the only hitch i would say is the gear slip through the new diff Quote
Erik Leppen Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 How on Earth does this boom lift with only two LAs??? For the rest, great looking model. I particularly like the pneumatic outriggers. Quote
Traktor Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 (edited) I think he has to to lift the boom up before he extends it, if not, I do not think the LAs would make it. To bad that there is not any bigger/longer LAs. And I do not understand why Lego has not thought of useing that kind og outriggers, so simple, but still very effectiv. LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Impressive and beautiful MOC! This crane is full up of PF motors ...simply amazing! Quote
Cheng Fei Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 As usual, it is difficult to MOC a huge mobile crane due to limitation of special LEGO parts such as; Long size LA: Preferably 9 to 15 stud length motion; The challenges of building such a MOC includes; The outriggers: It would be very huge and troublesome to MOC the telescopic type of outriggers; All wheel drives and all wheel steering; Weight balancing. Comment: I'd say Dikkie Klijn has balanced every aspect very well and used every possible part and piece to mimic a real crane. GOOD JOB. I "liked" your video in YT. Quote
Milan Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Proportions are nice, crane is functional and realistic, colors are just the way I like them for a mobile crane: Yellow and Gray The only thing I don't like is the chassis...I know studless has to look like that, but it seems very cramped and unorganized, and not very stiff. Overall, beautiful crane that deserves to be indexed. Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Great video to go along with the crane shame he did not lift a load , it was only the spreader beam he lifted great crane well made great music shame its not mine Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Fantastic crane! Great functions, great color combo, and love the song on the video. I'm trying to figure out how 9 functions were accomplished with 8 motors. This is a really nice crane. Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 (edited) The same mechanism that is found in the 8043 excavator. Yes, he said on LOWlug that he used the 8043 mechanism. Thanks! I was wondering if a mechanism like that was used, but for one extra function, I thought maybe a couple of the functions were doubled up instead. Fantastic! Edited June 2, 2011 by dhc6twinotter Quote
