Hiya,

I'm Leanne, a girl, 25 and from the South of England. I've been lurking for a little while, found the site when googling information on the modular pet shop rumours earlier in the year. I keep coming back for the reviews and the mocs and thought I should join in really.

I enjoyed Lego from a young age and had a few well loved sets, the Paradisa Stables and some sort of cafe set. I also had fun building my little brothers castle and pirate ship sets which he didn't have the patience to build but still wanted to play with. The sets are all still in my parents loft as they thought they were good toys to keep incase any grandchildren come along, but once I get a house with enough room for a town layout they will be coming with me!

I got back into lego thanks to my boyfriend. He still has a massive town layout in his parents loft from when he was young which he is rightly proud of and took me up to have a look. That started to stir my lego building memories and I started getting itchy fingers. We took my boyfriends little boy to a Lego show where I ended up buying the Grand Emporium and that purchase started the ball rolling for both of us. We have since bought most of the current City line, and I was lucky enough to be given the Fire Brigade and Green Grocer for Christmas. The only problem is that we live in a small flat and cannot build our town, so all the lego gets built, taken down again, boxed up and put away in the loft at my boyfriends parents. When we buy a house next year the Lego room will be top priority!

We have both started playing with LDD to design buildings for our future town. I have just ordered the bricks for one building and am looking forward to seeing how it will look in real life. I hope to do more buildings in the future, but I tend to lose patience with the LDD when it comes to the fiddly bits, and I have lots of works in progress because of that.

I suppose that is quite a detailed introduction, sorry if it is a bit waffly!

Welcome, your intro isn't waffly at all!

Good luck with the house buying, and don't forget to show us pictures when you've built your MOC. :sweet:

Great introduction Leanne and welcome to Eurobricks! It's always nice to hear couples sharing the LEGO hobby together, and hope your town layout will grow more as you grow together. Enjoy everything this site has to offer and see you around the forums.

Welcome, Leanne! I've already seen and posted on your wonderful pub MOC. You're obviously a talented builder, so I'm sure you'll fit right in here! I hope you enjoy your time here, and I hope you find a nice house soon!

In Singapore my house is too small to contain many LEGO too.

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see a AFFOL. AFFOL = adult female fan of Lego.
