alan_muhl Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 I have become a modular addict, collecting all of the Lego sets. I have made a stab at my own designs but I find that building them is just as much fun. Since there are so may of us that have similar intersts, I was wondering if there is a place where I can find designs already made for LDD or where I can purchase the designs. I am amazed at the talent in the community and want to be able to display it in my own city layout. Quote

These are for pdf. file only no pieces but, you can also bid on pre-built modulars without instructions. Those are good for pieces if you can get them at a low price. That in itself might be difficult. Hopefully this helps. Edited May 20, 2011 by Leg Godt Gud Quote
Janel Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Ok.... MCNwakeboard Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Here is one that I did in LDD. If you are interested, I can send you the LDD lxf file. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41747&st=0&p=736178&hl=modular%20blue%20bank&fromsearch=1entry736178 Quote

This would be a great addition to my city I'm working on. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Also try this link: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemType=I&catID=710&itemStatus=U Directs to BL's listing for custom instruction for modular building and accessories. There's also a few custom modular sets: http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemType=S&catID=710&itemStatus=U but they cost an arm and a leg -_- Quote

I have also looked at the offers on ebay and there are only a few that seem well done. The ones that have really intersted me are pictures posted here. Quote

The best two sources for modular instructions online that I'm aware of, are Brick City Depot and BrickBuildersPro. They both sell instructions of great quality, and from time to time also offer complete sets for sale (although they'll cost you a great deal of money. As far as I know, none of these sellers offer LDD files, but parts lists will let you get the necessary parts from BrickLink. I love designing my own modulars, but from time to time a fellow MOCer makes a design available that is just so great that the temptation to have it on my own shelf is too much... Quote
