I have no HP Lego and with this set containing 3 essential minifigs and a 4th extremely nice one, plus all that brown and some lovely mushrooms I was expecting it to be about £15, not £10.49

Great value really compared to the POTC equivalent price set.

nice rewiev, the photos aren't too bad, maybe you should edit them a little. The comic is great!

Set looks nice because of figures.

The tree looks ok to me. I will always accept some plants and brown pieces.

Well, they couldn't really have called it "Forbidden Tree" and expected anyone to buy it! What sort of names did you have in mind? I guess something cliche like "Final Showdown" could have worked if not for the fact that this isn't quite the "final" showdown. "Penultimate Showdown" would be a bit unwieldy.

I don't know, penultimate showdown is a pretty imposing title, but then again, I would have liked a set named forbidden tree, so that shows what I know.

I don't really collect the harry potter figs but I must have Narcissa. Her hair pattern is so cool I want to use it on my other figs.

Great review. I like the narrative and the humor.

And for pointing out that Harry and Rubeus are getting many.

In my case, I started with the Freeing Dobby set - I got Harry, Daddy Malfoy, and Dobby (who got arrested by the way after being freed).

Then I got the set Hagrid'd Hut - I got another Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Rubeus. And I thought I'd stop here, since my goal is just to get the main characters.

Then I got Hogwart's Express coz I thought the Ron-Harry tandem is so cool, and cooler when not in their uniform while riding a light blue car, and the hair piece of Ginny is nice.

At this point, it's tempting to get The Burrow and complete the Weasleys with Molly and Arthur (all with the same hair color). But also, this Forbidden Forest set and complete the Malfoys.

But if I get this set I will have 2 Rubeus, and 3 Harry though I like the tree, and the 2 other minifigs.

Missing *owl*?

Thanks for the excellent review Catanas. However I couldn't see the owl in your set that S@H mentions in the description of this set. Neither did I see any picture of it on the box. Can you check on the parts list on the instruction manual if it is mentioned and whether it is missing in your box? Or did TLG decided to drop it?

I'm really surprised that lego decided to make Narcissa Malfoy as a minifigure... I expected them to include another Bellatrix or something like that, but I'm really happy about their choice since she looks great ^^! Her hair don't look like in the movie though... I guess it was not worth creating a whole new hairpiece... But still, she looks really great! ^^
