prozac Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Anti Hero called me this afternoon saying his target had POTC London Escape and Cannibal Escape for 50% off, but those were the only 2. I checked my Target and none were on clearance, so this is definately a YMMV thing. Hope someone else finds some too!

The reason(s) for clearance sale could be: local store's not moving any PotC set... an idiot employee... or a dishonest employee trying to get really cheap LEGO sets to resell?

iluvmyelement Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 My local store had them 33% off. I was a little shocked that they had red clearance tags on such new sets.
anti-hero Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 The store I found them at is going through a remodel, there were several non-lego items on clearance for half off as well. My guess is that this particular store won't be carrying those 2 POTC sets after the remodel/reset so they wanted to move them out quickly (which they did, went back today and those 2 items tere wiped out). On a side note, since Target price matches I took the TRU ad in today and had them take 20% off the QAR. They still charge the SRP so I got it for $104 after tax.

I wouldnt make such a statement just yet. A couple months ago I was in a Target in Souther California. I found two City Corner sets for $14.99!!!! Not a clearance price but an actual price tag on the shelf. Some other people found them at that price too. But it was probably a mistake? Since City Corners have showed up again but back to full price.
