J4ke Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 So I built military for the first time in ages. It's a big chunky APC that was alternately fun and horrendously annoying to create. In deference to the fact that all you militaryists out there seem to prefer studlessness, I went for the smooth look here. Door design by OptimalControl, guns inspired by NannanZ. More pictures in the photoset. Comments are welcomed, as always! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Excellently done J4ke! I simply love the overall smooth futuristic design, as well as the white with red pinstripes color scheme. The various functionalities and features really makes this a very playable vehicle. Very impressive work! Quote
Zyniker Posted May 15, 2011 Posted May 15, 2011 Awesome MOC, wish I had the parts to do something similar. How about some side turrets for better defense (and offense) qualities? Might be hard to apply (especially if you like them retractable), but IMO well worth the effort. Quote
J4ke Posted May 15, 2011 Author Posted May 15, 2011 Thanks all, glad you like it! RE the more turrets thing, I briefly considered sticking some guns in the middle of the front tread assembly, rather like the tank from Indiana Jones. But there just isn't really enough room. And as you have noticed, I really wanted the whole smooth look. Quote

The various functionalities and features really makes this a very playable vehicle. Very impressive work! I couldn't said it better myself. The design, colours and functionality ,everything is just perfect! I like the front bumper and how the vehicle looks from...well...all sides! It looks smooth but at the same time tough and durable. Keep up the good work J4ke Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 It's a from me as well 'J4ke', a fantastic tracked futuristic war machine ! Keep up the cool work and Brick On 'J4ke' ! Quote
bricklayer Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Really nice. Do you have more pictures....maybe inside? Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Great MOC 'J4ke'. Love the colors and the design of its tracks. Great job Quote
J4ke Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 Thanks all! I do have mroe pictures of the interior, but I didn't bother to upload them. Basically, aside from the cockpit, there's no detail in it whatsoever. I didn't design the roof to come off, so I saw little point in detailing that which couldn't be seen. Quote
