MOC: On Licensed Premises

[Commander Laquiet]

Far away, at a secret location deep in the forest, lies the gathering place of the heroes. To enter, you must hold a license.

Anakin, laid off by the Emperor during the Galactic recession, is working to raise some credits.

Despite the building's lonely appearance from outdoors, as we round the corner we learn this is not the case.

This place is a bustling inn!

Let's start with the accommodation. Upstairs, in the backpackers room, we find Harry, on the run from some vicious Death Eaters. He updates his Facebook status on his shiny new smartphone. Voldemort obviously hasn't utilised social networks for tracking purposes yet.

Downstairs in the lobby we find Marion, working as a barmaid. Indy waits patiently in the queue, and Lupin simply cannot decide between the lasagne and the lamb.

Moving on, we enter the VIP lounge. Dad inspects the globe, while Obi-wan, now a permanent resident of the inn due to his old age, shows new arrival Jack Sparrow the beer cabinet.

Jack can't believe his eyes! That old compass did lead him somewhere good after all. They only serve the best here, too: Queen Anne's Rum.

In the background, a shy Ewok warms himself by the fire.

Of course, there is secluded couple's dining in such a high-class establishment. Here, Dastan carves the turkey with the Dagger of Time itself. Tamina watches on, impressed.

It's nice to see some of the Licensed theme characters gathering together in a Pub, though I agree there are prominent themes missing (Batman, Toy Story). Still, a good idea for MOC nevertheless, well done!

I agree with both of you that there a certainly some notable omissions, however I don't own very much licensed stuff and have no Batman, Toy Story or Spiderman! Still regret that I didn't pounce on any of the Batman stuff.

And yes badboyjte88, this was a blast to build. It's not very detailed or well built, but it was great fun!

Well done, Commander Laquiet! The building is very good, and it would fit in nicely in the Historic themes forum. I like the story you've made up, and the furniture is nice. Overall it's a very nice and fun MOC, so well done and thanks for sharing!
