Hey guys,

I was browsing on craigslist and someone posted up a custom Navy Seal minifig.

I recognize the weapons as Brickarms but the waist piece is something new.

It has an integrated holster and waist pouches as well as a clip in the back to hold another accessory.

Any ideas as to who makes this?

Incorrect.

The belt is actually made by a clone brand in Taiwan called Sidan Toys. Minifig.Cat resells them on BrickLink.

Thanks so much. Their stuff is really cool.

not a fan of Sidan myself, also heard that some members on BrickLink are working to get the products removed from BrickLink, along with a couple other sellers who sell Sidan products.

but Site Admin has stated that minifig. cat says they make the products.

There is nothing wrong with those products. They go along with Lego so well just like BrickArms, Tiny Tactical, BrickForge, and BrickTW.

Maybe I am missing something here, but isn't Sidan another Lego Knock Off line and Minifig.Cat is just selling their parts that can be used with Lego?

I was told that and thus did not see Sidan as being like BrickArms or Brick Forge, but rather they were in the same catagory as Mega Blocks for example. :look:

Can you clear this up for me, does Sidan only make Lego compatable elements or do they make their own Minifigures and Blocks?

Yes, but it is for the sole purpose of being used with Lego.

They have their own set of figs, but Mnifig.Cat doesn't sell them.

But BrickForge and Arealight make their own minifig parts as well.

Bricklink has this rule basically saying that if it isn't Lego then it's a no go for selling it, but they make exceptions for custom items or stuff that compliments Lego. And Minifig.Cat, while selling non-Lego, is selling it for the sole purpose of Lego customization. Other people on BrickLink sell COBI and Sluban, and they aren't getting hassled.

And it really isn't harming anyone. I'll probably just not buy from BrickLink anymore.
