MOC: SWAT Team Minifigs

I have been doing some TV related minifigs, all using genuine Lego parts, and I came up with the Strategic Response Unit from the TV show Flashpoint. I tried using the dark bluish gray legs, like on the show, but it didn't look right. The weapons are an assortment of Star Wars blasters, but they look right. I was also not going to get two more black army helmets, since they are a tad on the expensive side, but they do wear black baseball caps.

Nice but I dont get the SWAT feel of Flashpoint.

I would recommend getting some Brickarms MP5s aka SMG and M4s.

Also get the vests from Tinytactical.com

It will really make the SWAT figs look more SWAT.

Also technically Flashpoint tactical unit is called Strategic Response Unit (SRU) not SWAT.

I took a look at some still images from the show and I think Dark bley limbs will really sell the Flashpoint SRU squad. You mentioned you used the legs. But if you look at the reference image below, they are wearing a dark gray top and bottom. So you need dark gray arms as well as legs.

Also I added my Brickarms/Tiny Tactical equipment.

Here is the reference image.

And here is my take on one member of the SRU.

Cool SWAT team, Triborough. I built a SWAT van and two SWAT teammembers a few years ago and used the same torsos.

As you can see, I used the aviator helmet with a visor clipped to it. I had no idea that the army helmet exists in black until I saw your picture. They certainly didn't exist two years ago! I applaud your use of LEGO parts rather than custom accessories.
