charlieboy Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 It's one of these bodywear parts. I'll do a part trade for your Zookeeper. Nutski! Sold her last night
SilentMode Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 My list of S5 minifigures was updated yet again, and are all available via my Bricklink store if you want to buy them.
Flare Posted August 2, 2011 Posted August 2, 2011 My list of S5 minifigures was updated yet again, and are all available via my Bricklink store if you want to buy them. You charge quite a lot for them
SilentMode Posted August 2, 2011 Author Posted August 2, 2011 You charge quite a lot for them Why might that be?
SilentMode Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Both my minifigure list and my BrickLink store have been updated with goods.
Flare Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Why might that be? $5 just seems like a lot for one collectible figure.
SilentMode Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 All right, as a little "homework" assignment for anyone who wants to take part: assuming my prices on BL are extortionately high (which I would disagree), what's my reason for setting those prices? First to get the right answer gets a prize, not sure what yet.
buddy Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 All right, as a little "homework" assignment for anyone who wants to take part: assuming my prices on BL are extortionately high (which I would disagree), what's my reason for setting those prices? First to get the right answer gets a prize, not sure what yet. Would the reason for your pricing them slightly over the normal price (£2) be that you would have accomodate other costs and not just the cost of minifigure, such as transportation costs i.e petrol or bus fares. Also the seller has to accomodate selling fees on Bricklink and also the time and electric used to get them onto Bricklink, the time being identifying each one and the electric being using a computer/laptop to open Bricklink and add them to the store. So, if the prices are that of the retail price or cheaper then the seller would make a loss, so what would the point be in doing it. Whereas if the prices are of SilentMode's then the seller make little or no profit and the prices are fair and reasonable and not extortionate . ~buddy~

Flare Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 That's an answer, but my answer's a lot simpler. Maybe its because no one else has them
buddy Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 That's an answer, but my answer's a lot simpler. Ok, I see, is it because the prices you have set are the lowest you can go with make a loss or a profit decent enough to justify all the time and effort put into selling them. ~buddy~
SilentMode Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 Without giving anything away, the answer is right in front of you.
buddy Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Without giving anything away, the answer is right in front of you. I may have an idea of what you are trying to say. Could it be that you would rather trade the minifigure for a S5 Graduate here on EB than sell them on Bricklink. So you have set your prices slightly higher than the RRP, so that more people would want to trade, because then they would basically be getting it for RRP because they paid £2 for it. This means that it would be 'cheaper' to them and better for you because you would have got a S5 Graduate out of it. ~buddy~

buddy Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 There you go. Eventually got there, the answer seems obvious now after all of that. Also, do I get a prize as you mentioned. ~buddy~
SilentMode Posted August 7, 2011 Author Posted August 7, 2011 do I get a prize as you mentioned. No, I lied about that part. Just kidding, I will figure something out eventually.
Flare Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 No, I lied about that part. Just kidding, I will figure something out eventually. You could send him an e-card
