perplexingArticulator Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 If I recall correctly, I found Eurobricks quite a few years ago (two sounds right, now I think about it). I admit I considered the prospect of joining at that point, but then... well, I happened and I was all "nope wait until you're 18 nunsack". So I did, not that I really noticed for most of the time, and so here I am. It's been over a year since I've been at all involved in the LEGO community, which probably isn't much of a good thing; during that time I've more or less forgotten how to MOC half-decently. Indeed, time spent generally touching my LEGO stock has been scarce indeed for quite a while, much to my dismay, and with the advent of university it's only going downhill from here. I figure that's why I've always valued observing, if not participating in, the LEGO community, particularly getting excited to see the onslaught of new sets which I'm unlikely to get to purchase. Were it not for hanging around the community for so long, odds are I wouldn't have had something to spark my ongoing interest in LEGO and I would be very displeased as to why I probably spent thousands all up over the years on it. The point is I'm here, still very much interested if not at all active, and I really don't want that to change because I do so love my construction toys. Whether that's a good thing or not for everyone here, who knows? Anyway. I would consider my all-time favourite LEGO theme to be Rock Raiders, said theme also housing my favourite set, the 4980 Tunnel Transport; I'm also still very fond of the accompanying PC game. Beyond that, I also spent a ridiculous amount of time around BIONICLE, a fact of which I'm not too fond these days simply because it led to me ignoring and missing out on so many other, far superior themes and sets. XimenaPaulina Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Hey welcome to Eurobricks! It's good to know that an online AFOL community like EB has helped you keep your interest on the LEGO passion even during the times you were physically inactive in the hobby. Now that you're back, hope you'll have a greater time this time around. Quote
