Triborough Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 This is a modern remix of Legoland set 105. I have most of the parts from my original from when I was a kid, but I think it is more fun to give it a more modern take. The minifigure is also of recent vintage and is from set 9348 with an addition of the messenger bag. prateek Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I actually like it better than the original! Me too! This is really nice, but Canada Post doesn't use cars like these I think a hatch in the back would make it better, but I don't see a good solution, so this is great! Quote
Ricecracker Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Nice looking truck. Good to see stuff from way up here represented in the LEGO community. Me too! This is really nice, but Canada Post doesn't use cars like these Actually, Canada Post has recently started using the Ford Transit Connect, which this MOC looks pretty similar to. Quote
Triborough Posted May 8, 2011 Author Posted May 8, 2011 Me too! This is really nice, but Canada Post doesn't use cars like these I think a hatch in the back would make it better, but I don't see a good solution, so this is great! Thanks. As for the design, I was going for something that sort of looked like the original and sort of looked like a Canada Post Grumman LLV. I really didn't see a good door/hatch option and I didn't think the shutters option would have worked, as on the original. Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Very nice car Triborough! Sort of looks a little like the recent post van set from TLG, but BETTER. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I really like this updated version a lot, you manage to give it a modern look while still maintaining the basic design and color scheme. Good job! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 You really got this up to date. Very nice rendition of an updated version. Tis a shame it isn't original but, this definitely makes up on it's design. I'd take this over the original, very well done Quote
Legostein Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Hello! I pretty much like the way how the 1x1 slopes smoothly go over into the windscreen. Nice construction! Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
