Cygnet Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Another 'digital' custom I put together. The decals are my design (Inkscape) and then 'digitally' applied to the figure (GIMP). I added a glow effect to the circuits and put in a backdrop. The figure will evolve further, as I have a disc battle concept I'm currently working on. Thanks! Quote
Commander Uno Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Nice Decals there. Do you plan to put the decals on a real figure. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Impressive glowing effect, very authentic with the movie. Well done Cygnet! Quote
Cygnet Posted May 8, 2011 Author Posted May 8, 2011 Nice Decals there. Do you plan to put the decals on a real figure. It's possible, but I've yet to learn the art of the waterslide. Quote
Omicron Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 It's possible, but I've yet to learn the art of the waterslide. Sticker sheets are also an option, for the torso at least. :P -Omi Quote
Darth Yogi Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 The picture is very impressive, although a lot of it is the computer it is still an awesome photo. Also I love the glowing affect of the decal. Great job Quote
Cygnet Posted May 8, 2011 Author Posted May 8, 2011 That is pretty cool! He should have hair though. Completely agree! This was more of a WIP and practice for adding a digital backdrop. Sam will be back soon...and a bit more filled out. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Water slide may not work so it'd have to be sticker sheet and a sharp knife. Most paper are already UV reactive (phosphor to make it brighter white) so with UV lamp, those lines will glow. Don't forget the hockey type helmet for disc war ;) Quote
Flobnomdob Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Is a painted one of these your ring idea? P.S. Nice editing! Quote
