frogstudio Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Hi to all!!!! Just wanted to share with you my very first train MOC!!!! It's a small shunter, which uses the new train motor + the rechargeable battery to get moving. Hope you like it and waiting for comments and suggestions!!!! :) And here it is with my MOW transport car... Hope you enjoyed it!!! :) Quote
Gareth Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 That's a neat little shunter I like the way you've got the red and white stripes on it and the rear lights on the cab roof. would be nice to see it in action though. Great build, Brick On! Quote
frogstudio Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 Thanks Gareth!!! Will upload a video as soon as I can get some track layed down!!! :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Gee, another one I can not fault 'frogstudio', the white/black with a little bit of red trim is very nice indeed. I also can not wait to see this shunter in action ! Brick On 'frogstudio' ! Quote
mikka says Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Wow..im mean WOW! this is brilliant model and shows just how little space power functions can take up if used correctly :D nice work Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Off to another great start 'frogstudio' Is this shunter built off the design of a real one or is it your own design? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Very nice - but please resize your images to our site guidelines (no larger than 800x600). Much appreciated. Nice job on the custom decals. Quote
frogstudio Posted May 2, 2011 Author Posted May 2, 2011 Off to another great start 'frogstudio' Is this shunter built off the design of a real one or is it your own design? No idea if it's an existing shunter. Parts of it are based in one of the models of the hobby train set. :) Very nice - but please resize your images to our site guidelines (no larger than 800x600). Much appreciated. Nice job on the custom decals. Sorry ... images resized... Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Thanks for resizing your images FS. This is really a neat little Shunter. I like the color combination and your custom decals look fantastic. I'd love to see LEGO offer a new Shunter set like this, reminding me of the old 12V Blue but with modern details. Overall, a very nice creation. Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Red, black and white are a perfect combination for this shunter! Quote
Duq Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Nice shunter! Have you thought about adding a third axle under the rather large overhang? Quote
Brickaroo Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I love shunters, I really do. They are my favourite Lego trains and this one is exceptional. Well done! Quote
frogstudio Posted May 20, 2011 Author Posted May 20, 2011 As promised, here's the video to show the shunter in action... Cheers!!!! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted May 22, 2011 Posted May 22, 2011 Another great diesel shunter on this forum in a few days, and another great technique to hide PF components! I like the thin body of this locomotive using decals directly on the battery pack, very nice idea! Beutiful wagon too! Quote
