First of all, please bear with me. This is my first thread on Eurobricks and my first attempt at posting images so I apologize in advance for anything I mess up.

This building was inspired by the Italianate architecture in the city where I live and made to fit in with the other modular buildings. It did not start as a bookstore but simply an attempt at duplicating Italianate architecture.

There is interior on the other two floors as well but it's not terribly original, it's reworks of the furniture from the Fire Station and Beach House. If you want to see, there are more pictures here but I will refrain from putting too many in the thread. Thanks for looking. :sweet:

Edited to add - in case you're not familiar with Italianate architecture, there were the inspirations for my building:

Well 'The Spark That Bled', it's a very nice looking bookstore - the ground floor frontage is great (though that blue 1x1 tile looks out of place  ). Interior could do with a little more in it, but I guess 16x16 can be limiting.

Modulars are not really in my scope of MOCing, so a few others will pop up shortly to pass comment.

Anyway, great job designing and building this and keep on MOCing 'The Spark That Bled'

Nice and simple build TSTB, I initially thought the external design was a bit conservatively bare, but the reference material is exactly like that, so you got points for accuracy there.

Thanks for your responses.

KielDaMan, thanks for noticing the accuracy. It's a subtle style. I'd love to get the bricks together to do a model in the striking colors of the real buildings, but it could be a while.

That one little blue 1x1 tile that looks so out of place on the facade was a nod to the whimsy that most of these buildings have in their paint jobs but it does kind of stick out. :sceptic:
