goldfish Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Hi, Not sure if this is the correct forum for this MOC, but thought was worth showing. Rich Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Nice MOC, Rich! The tiled floor is excellent, as are the sewers and the balcony. However, it's a little bare. A few bookshelves, vases and pillars should do the trick. And this should be in the Licensed themes forum. Well done, and thanks for sharing! Quote
Athos Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Its a great start, but I agree it is too empty. Book stacks are definitely needed and maybe something else. What about the velvet ropes and stands that Indy used to break the floor? Maybe put the librarian in there too? Steve Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Very iconic. However shouldnt this go into the Licensed theme section? Quote
Tazmaniac Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 "X never marks the spot" Well done! I agree a few book shelves would go a long way but a solid build never the less. What's the go with the stain-glass ? is that a LEGO piece? Where does it come from? Cheers. Quote
goldfish Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Hey thanks for the nice comments and feedback, yes, I will probably add the cordoned off posts and possibly some book shelves, although I will build these seperately and slot on, as this already took a huge base plate. In terms of the stained galss window, it is from set 6091. Could a mod move this to the relevant licensed forum? Thanks! Richard Edited April 23, 2011 by goldfish Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 Pretty good build goldfish. The suggested additional details of course would definitely improve this MOC, but somehow the 'bareness' makes me appreciate the various elements more - from the tiled floor, wall details, and secret opening. Neat work! Quote
fred67 Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I like it. The "bareness" doesn't bother me, I wouldn't have thought twice about it if so many people hadn't mentioned. The only thing that catches my eye is the statue, since you can get a plain gray head (and helmet, if you wanted). But I think it's fantastic, overall. Great use of the stained glass and how you integrated the dark gray into the light gray works really well. Quote
gogocar Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Very nice MOC! It looks so smooth. It is a bit empty, but I don't mind that. Quote
Adrian86 Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Very nice! I agree some book shelfs would certainly help this MOC but the scene is easily recognizable and I love the catacombs under the main floor. Quote
Silverface Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) Good work! Tiling is very good. It's a little bit empty but ok. Thanks Edited May 12, 2011 by Silverface Quote
Parrothead Rasmus Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 (edited) Nice! Where'd the stained glass window come from?? Oh, and here- http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=196469873703359&set=a.195763100440703.58294.195027387180941&type=1&theater Not mine, but just so you could get an idea.
