Dr Lucky Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Hey! My Double Catapult came in the mail from S&H yesterday, and I figured I would take some pictures. Also, my fianc Quote
xwingyoda Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Many tks Dr Lucky for these cool pics ;-) I really love the catapult actually (yeay how weird of me to say that actually :-D ) 8- Quote
Deinonychus Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 That dragon reminds me of that armored dragon-thing from the last Lord of the Rings movie. Can't wait to add that to my little Vikings scene I've got going on *y* Quote
Shakar Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Thanks for the review and pics Dr. Lucky! :-) This set looks good. The minifigs are just as cool as the round 1 ones. The catapult is nice, even tough.... it's a catapult. ;-) The dragon is pretty good too, I didn't know he had a saddle. Lots of dark blue here, and since I also like Bionicle, I'm certainly using those parts. I love the new wings! By the way, how's the Pass? Shakar Quote
Dr Lucky Posted July 8, 2006 Author Posted July 8, 2006 I don't have the Pass yet. I actually had all that stuff ordered on two separate orders; One for the Double Catapult and the Viking Armies, the other for the Battle at the Pass, Arkham, and the King's Castle. The Catapult shipped via Priority Mail, and showed up yesterday. The Battle at the Pass and Arkham shipped on the the same day as the Catapult, but they shipped UPS, so they'll be here on Tuesday. I'll try to get some pictures up when they show up. Quote
sam89 Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Thanks for the review, I might be getting this. I love both the dragon and the catapult. I especially like the dragon's skull on the catapult, and it looks like we've finally got some printed pieces this year! Quote
ApophisV Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 I am disappointed by the dragon though. IMO it has way too many Bionicle parts compared to the older ones (thats probably due to the armor parts unfortunatly) !! From what I can see it got enough parts to build an "old school" Viking dragon from it! (Okay, "old school" is somewhat silly for something just one year old ;-) ) Quote
Norro Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Thanks for the review...thought I am dissapointed by the set. I wanted those printed new brown pieces and the figs but there is way too much bley/bionicle to make this worth the money. Thanks again and God Bless, Nathan Quote
Sir Dillon Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Thanks for the review, Dr. Lucky. :-) I think this is a nice set overall. I really like the catapult design, and the dragon skull on it. I have mixed thoughts on the dragon though. I think it looks pretty neat, but with all those silver armor parts, it almost looks more like a robot to me then a dragon. I think that the saddle part is a nice touch. Quote
Khorne Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I like this set! The dragon looks way larger than I imagined. The catapult looks really cool with the skull and all. Did anyone see these Viking sets in regular stores? Quote
