CopMike Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Here´s the second in a series of short reviews from the scenes at the Star Wars Miniland in Legoland Billund. The setup is supposed to be the same in all Legland´s around the world, so for more background information read this post and this post! SW EpVI Return Of The Jedi – Endor The Endor system plays a key role in the Return of the Jedi as the site of the Battle of Endor, fought to prevent construction of the second Death Star. The scene presents the final victory of the Rebel Alliance over the Empire. Endor is a forest moon and home of the Ewoks, who fight against the Imperial forces alongside the Rebels. You can also view a large-scale model of a Lambda-class Imperial shuttle on its landing platform. Look closely – how many Ewoks can you find? First an overall video: The big radar dish for the shield generator: I guess they could get HBO with that size of dish ! The Lambda-class shuttle parked at the landing platform: Engines still idling: Vader inspects the landing party: At ground level the Rebels have reached the bunker entrance: Chewbacca checks out his new ride: To be continued ........ Quote
CopMike Posted April 23, 2011 Author Posted April 23, 2011 Ewoks flying low to take out Scout Troopers on speeders: The target: "You spin me right round, baby right round, like a record baby, right round round round" ! The Ewok village: Two Ewoks discussing the latest news: The cleaverly discuised trap a.k.a The AT-ST body shop: And a video of the action: The parts lying beside the AT-ST shouldn´t be there ..... but more on the overall setup in my last review. Stay tuned! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 'CopMike' thank you again, more images and dude, that shield generator plus Vader himself are among the finest things I have seen ever in Lego for the Star Wars theme ! K.O.B. with the Force ! Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Thanks again for sharing this CopMike, your Miniland reviews really gives us the chance to see these models and set-ups on a more closer view. The landing platform, radar dish, and Lambda shuttle are very well done IMO. However I don't like the Battle of Endor set-up, there are something about the bunker, scout troopers in 74-Zs, and the 'flying ewok' that I find a bit off. Quote
Brownies! Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 (edited) Wow a review of SW miniland! I never thought there would a review of miniland! Some of the detail is incredable! The detail of the satellite dish and the Imperial Shuttle are awesome! Edited April 23, 2011 by Brownies! Quote
Mr Man Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I want that Shuttle . Please. Great models, that shield generator must have taken ages to make. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Thanks again, CopMike! Other than the Ewok village, which is way too low to the ground, I think all the models here look pretty good. Probably my favorite of all the scenes, as there are none of the really ugly vehicles in it. Quote
simonjedi Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 Look closely – how many Ewoks can you find? I counted 11 Ewoks Quote
Ceroknight Posted April 23, 2011 Posted April 23, 2011 I don't like the figures Other than that, evertything looks fantastic Quote
Holodoc Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 A big thank you for both of the reviews! I really enjoy reading about the new SW Miniland before visiting Günzburg later this year with my two sons, one of them being a big enthusiast of Lego Star Wars. Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 My mind has officially been blown by those Miniland- ScaleScout Troopers. Lovely... Simply lovely... Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 This Miniland is my favorite. All of the huge models, wow. I DON'T like Darth Vader. His head is just too large! Quote
Plissken Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Vader is impressive, most impressive The whole Endor setup is nice. It's amazing how much details are in it. On the other hand I don't like Han's blaster Quote
