Master builder sets

I just paid a visit to the lego store in downtown disney orlando and they had some enormous master replicas of jango fet and tahu. I was wondering if sets or should i say satues like that are for sale. I mean they are in the lego store and and anything can be bought for the right price. Also can u make requests for life sized models.

i believe Copmike and Ras74 once dealt with this lifesized Jango in sweden. It seems lego made several copies of that one.

Some one else asked your questions about a year ago to Orlego, who was still an active member here and lego employee in one of these shops, i think. Maybe one of the long standing members still remembers the topic, cos i don't... ;-)

Come on, commander. The only time you can buy them is when the store is being closed down, changing invintory, or an overhaul of the store ;-) Even then they don't usually sell them, and you can't make requests. I'm sure you could make one yourself if you REALLY wanted, and I'm sure some people have gotten lucky, or "known people" and been able to get them, and sell them on e-bay for tens of thousands of dollars. Keep in mind they're glued though.

i wouldnt mind if it was glued. it would be great to see lego jengo greeting me every day in the morning with a glass of orange juice and a bowl of captain crunch *sweet* . Now if i recall extreme bedroom makeover on the discovery chanel put a basketball sculpture in one of the rooms. Unfortunately not even a clone commander is gifted with the skills of a master builder :-(

None of the creations by Master Builders are available to buy. In fact, there is no right offer for any statues you see displayed by LEGO. Employees are not allowed to seel them. In fact, once they are done being used they are either donated to a local charitable cause (think childrens hospitals) or are destroyed. Company property should never be made public.

There have been cases of employees receiving some creations as gifts, and of course a few more models are stolen or illegally obtained.

As far as sculptures that are shown in LEGO stores, once they are done being in use they are either used elsewhere or destroyed.
