badgerboy Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 I just thought I'd share my entry for the FBTB Hybrid competition. There are more pics in the flickr folder ...and a stupid story about it here too! I hope you like it! *EDIT* I Mistyped the title as T46 rather than T47... is it possible for a mod to change that at all please? Quote
Mr Man Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Its certainly unusual badgerboy. Built from whats left at Hoth, am I correct? Good luck with the comp. Quote
Mr. McDuck Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Wow, it looks great! Good luck with the contest ! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 This is brilliant. I think the guns on the AT-ST head are too short, but I guess that would detract from the guns of the T-47 if they were longer, and with a backstory like yours, anything could happen. But my favorite part by far is the incorporation of the T-47's radiator grille into the back of the AT-ST. It looks perfect. Quote
TenorPenny Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Excellent! You ignored the urge to just use two fighters, very cool. Quote
Stardusty Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 That's best entry yet in the competition. Good luck, my entry won't be as half as good. Quote
Blackknight112 Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 This is an unusual combination.... But I think it worked out really great. Good luck n the contest. Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Gee, I didn't know they had Monster Garage on Hoth ! Excellent designing - a fusion of a Rebel snowspeeder and an Imperial AT-ST....sheer genius ! Good luck in the contest 'Badgerboy' and may the brick be with you ! Quote
BrickArtist Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 This is awesome, such a creative idea. You executed blending the two vehicles perfectly. Good luck in the contest, not that you'll need it Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Very interesting entry badgerboy, who would've thought that the wacky idea of combining of a T-47 and an AT-ST would look this good. Very nicely done and good luck in the contest! Quote
Masked Builder Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Now that is one perfect little hybrid! So cute and well built, definitely likin' it! Quote
badgerboy Posted April 22, 2011 Author Posted April 22, 2011 I'm really chuffed you guys like it. High praise indeed! Thanks for being so generous! And thanks to whoever corrected my typo as well - I felt such a fool. Quote
Jedd the Jedi Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Jaw-droppingly good work - you have every right to feel chuffed; well done there! The idea is really clever, and the execution very well done. A good "ugly" isn't about merely smashing two sets together, it's about integrating them in a way that looks weird but makes sense, like what you've done here. Quote
Legostein Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Hello! What a pretty ugly! Clever combination of these two models which deserves the description of a real hybrid. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
heofthehothbrick Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 I really like this. The two elements go together really well. Reminds me of a bat!! A work of genius. Quote
