Hoexbroe Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Hi all, I dont think I have posted in the sci-fi forum before, simply because I dont do much sci-fi stuff. But I am currently working on a SHIP, where this little micro-scale spin-off has been constructed; Although not really an "1999 Eagle", the inspiration is impossible to hide. I think the scale would be something like 1:120. The cargo can be easily removed/changed; I like all science-fiction, allthough I dont build much of it in Lego. My style is strictly "real-space" as I dont see the sense and logic in beautifully streamlined and aerodynamically correct star-fighters... Bulky and utilitarian is my ballgame! Although it is tiny, I have tried to make a very exact construction, adjusting down to half-plate thickness; -The above pic shows some of the hardship I had to go through, in order to line everything up correctly... hehe Stay tuned for the SHIP! lightningtiger Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Oh, I say that's pretty close to an Eagle 'Hoexbroe'. Excellent designing too, gee almost as good as 'Legostein' ! Is there a laser cannon under the cockpit like the TV series Eagle ? Great work and K.O.B. 'Hoexbroe' ! Quote
Legostein Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Hello! A great construction! I like the use of the large support pillar in this place. Cheers, ~ Christopher Quote
Stardusty Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 It sure looks nice, although I have no idea what it is. Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Very good job! The cab is really nice. Now how about a container for lego!? Quote
Big Cam Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 As someone who is not familiar with this ship, I must say I like it. It reminds me of a cargo style ship from the SW universe. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Very well done micro-ship Hoexbroe, especially for your first Sci-Fi build. The overall design is really recognizable, from the distinct cab to the cargo, everything is perfectly scaled to micro size. Great work! Quote
Odyssey Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Being more into realistic space stuff myself as well I rellay like that thing. And there are lots of nice details and functions (like the detatching containers :) ) that make this quite amazing. Keep up the great work! Quote
Hoexbroe Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 First of all; Thanks for the comments to ALL. I´m glad that you all like it! Is there a laser cannon under the cockpit like the TV series Eagle ? Nah, this one is definatly unarmed. In my "real-space" universe, arms in space are really only useful for upholding the law (maybe against pirateering?) and shooting out small asteroids and space-debris before colliding with it. It sure looks nice, although I have no idea what it is. It´s a "light short-range cargo vessel". As someone who is not familiar with this ship, I must say I like it. It reminds me of a cargo style ship from the SW universe. Google the ancient (1975) science fiction TV-series "SPACE: 1999" -or maybe "Moonbase Alpha" under which name it might be better known. Not a bad concept, and some excellent special effects for it´s time and budget, -at least until Star Wars´ computer coordinated movement was introduced ;-) Very well done micro-ship Hoexbroe, especially for your first Sci-Fi build. The overall design is really recognizable, from the distinct cab to the cargo, everything is perfectly scaled to micro size. Great work! Thanks, except its not my first sci-fi build, just the first build I present here on EuroBricks. Anyway, it´s just my 4th build, so I´m still new to the style. Here is the previous stuff I did; Quote
Captain Bayonet Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Nice Mini build. Well done, lots of details incorporated, I like it, a lot. Keep the Brick Alive! ~Bayonet Quote
