Adrian86 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) This little MOC here is something like a premiere for me. [It is almost completely SNOT and] I could finally build in a light up feature. EDIT: Sorry, I´ve misused the term. But the use of the light brick is still a premiere for me. Background Story: Indy shows a new Ph.D.-candidate a skeleton with a crystal skull in the museum. It´s obviously not one of those he has seen in Akator, but still interesting. Thanks for looking! Edited April 18, 2011 by Adrian86 Quote
Oky Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 "Almost completely SNOT"? The only SNOT I see are the tiles on the wall and the light brick. But aside from the misuse of terminology, this is a very nice vig, and the light-up showcase is a neat feature. The only part that could be improved, I think, is the floor which looks a bit plain. Having a rug or some kind of pattern there would make it more interesting in my opinion. I hope to see more vigs like this from you! Quote
Adrian86 Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 Sorry for the misuse of the term. I can see what you mean with the plain floor, but I tried to stay close to the way most modern museums are decorated today. However I guess one or two more minifigures it would look a bit less plain. I´ll keep that in mind for the next build. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I love the lighting of this mini museum vig. Nicely done Adrian! Quote
gogocar Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Very nice MOC (vig, I mean) I like the lightning. Making a museum MOC is a good way to use parts from Egypt/archaeology themes. Anyway, good job Adrian . Quote
Red Bricks Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Hehe, Great little design. Cabinet looks vintage with lighting in it! Quote
Zeya Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 This is pretty cool. I like the use of the light brick to cast some dramatic lighting. I had a similar idea of displaying printed tiles as artwork in a museum setting. I didn't yet think of putting helmets on display like you did! I bet you could also extend this and have some kingdom knights in battle or animals, just like you might see at an anthropology museum. You could have little MOCs inside a bigger MOC. I think you may have inspired me! Quote
