Hi, so i just have a couple of questions i was hoping to get answers for, did a bit of searching but didnt come up with much.

the first one i suppose may be a bit of personal opinion, but ill ask anyway

1.Does anyone own mmv and diagon alley? and how do they look/fit together? i was thinkin of picking up diagon alley to go with my mmv, just wasnt sure if the bircks and themes would clash or go well together, anychance anyone has a pic of the two together?

2. related, somewhat, a lego store is opening up near me in a few days (toronto) do they sell the exclusive sets like diagon? or is that purely lego.com s@h?

thats it for now, i had more but i was able to find answers on other threads

thanks in advance, cant wait to go to the stores opening!

I do not own the Diagon Ally, so I can't help you with the first question. But I do think that LEGO stores sell exclusives, at least the one in Copenhagen I visited a few days ago had numerous old and new exclusives on the shelves.

They are different architecture in that MMV is not only an older architecture, but more rural. Diagon Alley seems more like 17th century city architecture.

They certainly could be used together... but probably not together (right next to each other). If I had a big layout, I would put one on one side, and one on the other, but even then the MMV would predate trains.

Yes, the LEGO store is almost a carbon copy of the online store. Though the special promotions are quite different. For example, this month if you spend x amount of dollars in the store, you get a free small pick a brick bin whereas online, you get a Creator Lizard.

Also, Amazon USA (I am not sure about Canada) sells exclusive sets. This is often the cheaper alternative for us in the states because shipping and taxes are not included.

When you see the sets together it all fits very well. But of course not for a medieval town. But for pirates, it could easily work. Maybe a few details on the houses from Diagon Alley should be changed. But otherwise, it looks good, especially Ollivander's.

I wouldn't use them together for a medieval town, as diagon alley has buildings with some glass windows and a glass roof which looks a bit odd in a medieval setting, but you could always swap the glass windows for some ordinary ones.

Olivander's with a few tweaks would fit well, Gringotts would also work as a cathedral of whatnot. Borgin & Burkes is a bit too metal-y as most buildings of the era would be built with wood. :classic:
