-zenn Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) I felt like making a hoverbike for my white suited classic space 'doc' minifig. Also wanted to do something else with the thrusters, than my usual use of those car rims. Aeon; a neo-classic space hoverbike inspired by 'Welle: Erdball - Apollo XI/V1/V2/Aggregat 4'. FlickR Gallery Comments and critisiscm welcome. Also thinking about naming it 'Gravity Resistant Vehicle' or 'GRV' for short, any thoughts about this? Edited April 10, 2011 by -zenn Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Another excellent hoverbike -zenn! As usual, very nice parts usage particularly the wheels, minifig 'apron', and that blue piece at the back (is that a Bionicle piece? I can't seem to remember that one.) Nice work! Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 AWESOME '-zenn', what a hoverbike ! I like the colouring and those wheel rims being used as thrusters ! Keep hovering on those creations and K.O.B. '-zenn' ! Quote
-zenn Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 is that a Bionicle piece? I can't seem to remember that one. Thanks, mate! It's this> *click* piece. Never seen it before myself either... AWESOME '-zenn', what a hoverbike ! Keep hovering on those creations and K.O.B. '-zenn' ! ThanQ, I will! K.O.B? Quote
gcanik Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 For some reason your hoverbike just screams coolness factor x10 and I love your choice in using the bearded minifig head - reminds me of Sean Connery for some reason. Great Job!!! Quote
Sirens-of-Titan Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I really like the smooth blue pieces and how they look next to the jagged mechanical bits! This looks great! Quote
Scorpiox Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 (edited) Great stuff -zenn! The wheel rims look great as thrusters, is it ok if I borrow that technique? The smooth frame and the mechanical parts mix well, you should delve further into sci-fi hover vehicles like this. Oh and by the way If I'm correct K.O.B. means keep 0n bricking. (ha ha if you say "keep 0n bricking" it turns into "I'm a conformist!", mods and they're jokes eh? Edited April 10, 2011 by Scorpiox Quote

Great Job!!! Thanks man! Haha, he might be, looks a lot like him... Great stuff -zenn! The wheel rims look great as thrusters, is it ok if I borrow that technique? Maybe I'll do a SunTron or a M-Tron bike next, don't know yet. Already did Blacktron and Ice Planet. KOB, I could have known... Mods can't live with them, can't live without them. Quote
Delta62 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Thats one nifty hoverbike! I love the detailes and the design. Sure does look fun to ride arround in. Quote
Giovanne Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 (edited) Great MOC and great design! This is a good example of small bricks in a small MOC, my favorite part is the rims as thrusters. Keep up with the good awesome work! Edited April 11, 2011 by Giovanne Quote
brickmack Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Nice bike. Been a while since I saw a good NCS MOC. Great usage of that blue curved part on the back in particular, and almost every other part used. Quote
Tkytko Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I like your usage of the motorcycle frame, and of course that blue piece. Are those minifig hips the thrusters are connected to? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Great work, zenn! So much to love in this small MOC; NPUs everywhere. Quote

Thanks, yes they are minifig hips. They have lots of possibilities, fiddling around with them helps. Great work, zenn! So much to love in this small MOC; NPUs everywhere. ThanQ! Nice to see you like it so much. Quote
