I can still hardly believe that I found these pieces at the minifigure bar! They had a huge amount of Blacktron torsos and pirate soldier helmets. There were also mermaids, Kingdom's advent calendar queen torsos, Kingdom's king's legs, clowns, series 1 forestman and some Clawdette (evil agents woman) hair and torsos. There was also some pirate captain bicornes. Get over to the Lego Brand Store now to get your Blacktron or pirate soldier armies! 15 of these specialty pieces for 10 dollars was a steal  .

I think all of these have been reported other than the Pirate hats. I personally have seen the mermaid parts, clown, SP Torsos (not Blacktron, made the same mistake myself), Kingdoms Queen torso, Kindoms Prince legs, magician, and forestman pieces.

Nice find, Baylego! I'm planning a trip to the LEGO store in my area soon, so I hope the Minifigure Bar will be just as plentiful for me as it was for you! :sweet: What did they have in the way of heads?

I recognise the torso in the bottom right of the picture  shame they didn't have the matching skirt.

Looks like you got a great haul, we'll be at our LEGO store on Friday (birthday treat - not mine, the fella's) and I doubt they'll have anything as interesting, but I'll certainly keep a look-out now that you've posted, so thanks

They had a whole lot of women heads, like the pirate one with the eyepatch, the one from the giant snake PQ set, some cheerleader heads, nurse heads, and the head that was on your character for Mafia School. There was also a young kids face with freckles and a clown head. Probably more than that, but heads were not what I was looking for then.

That's a pretty nice selection. I'm mostly looking for heads and hair, so I'll have to stock up on plenty of those when I go.

The mermaid parts and Blacktron torsos interest me the most out of the selection pictured. I hope it applies to other LEGO-brand stores and not just the one you visited. The Helena Skvalling head or freckle-faced kid head would also be nice to pick up.

Also, a minor correction: the Agents parts are from the character Dyna-Mite, not Clawdette.

Can you really do that with Build-A-Mini (just take 15 parts rather than three complete minifigures?) In that case, I may be looking into that the next time I'm at a LEGO store. Although I'm a bit confused, as your pic includes 16 parts...

Yes, you can! I was unsure if I could, but I asked a employee there and she said that any five pieces is fine, what they show is just a guide. And oops! In my excitement, I must have put an extra piece in  .

Lucky you, good work. I love hearing about lucky LEGO finds, with the cost of our fair toy going through the roof, it's good to find deals.

Something I gotta try next time...

not so minor IMO. Clawdette is a sexy mama, a perfect spy villain, and my favorite of the henchme.. henchpersons. She's top tier, up with gold tooth, breakjaw, and fire arm (the only one not a homage to a bond villain, but still awesome). Dyna-mite (along with Dollar Bill, and probably Slimeface/D. Zaster) is horribly designed in comparison.

I dunno, it's catwoman vs harley quinn. Some people like harley quinn. I will never accept her to my list of decent essential batman characters. please don't kill me.

Yeah, it's not all that lucky. They've been adding those parts to "minifigure bars" across the country. However, mine has been pretty much sold out of those pieces the last few times I visited, so I guess you did get kinda lucky. They've had the soldier hats for months and they even had the torsos at one point (although the Chinese ones).

And oops! In my excitement, I must have put an extra piece in  .

How clever clumsy of you.

*oh2*

... well, since you asked so nicely, I wont.

And I don't think D. Zaster is all that bad either, but then again my favorite color is lime green.

In my experience it varies depending upon whom / where you ask. I've been to three different LEGO Stores so far, one of them multiple times and the others just once apiece, and whenever I've asked about it I've sometimes been told I can get any fifteen parts I want, while other times I've been told I need to put together three complete figures from five parts apiece (legs, torso, head, headwear, accessory). It appears to be up to individual stores, or possibly even the whims of individual employees.

Once I even had an employee ask me why I didn't put visors on the helmets I'd put on some of the figures I'd assembled, and I noted that it would make them two pieces (presumably the visor counting as the "accessory") and I was trying to stay within the five-pieces-per-figure rule, and that it wasn't a big deal because I had plenty of extra visors anyway since it's one of those pieces that usually has a spare copy in most sets that include it. He said it'd be ok to consider it part of the helmet and put visors in with all my helmeted figures, and then after a moment's reflection decided to give them "spares" as well, and so gave me extra visors.

I recognise the torso in the bottom right of the picture  shame they didn't have the matching skirt.

So I see! I got one of those torsos myself on my last visit to a LEGO Store, and I must confess I don't recognize it. What is it from? Also, what are the printed dark red legs next to it in the picture from?

Kingdoms Queen torso and Prince legs, I believe.

You are not the only person on EB to not recognise it, I have been asked before, and its relative obscurity is partly why I chose it for my sigfig.

Absolutely. I got my Queen "dress" from my 2010 Kingdoms Advent Calendar (I've changed the head and hair), which also included a Prince figure with those legs. The last time I looked on Bricklink, that was the only source for the Queen torso, however I picked up a Queen keyring last Friday, so that may have changed, and it appears they may be emptying unsold advent calendar parts into the build-a-minifig bins.

You're lucky you found those Blacktron 2 torsos, I spent about 45 minutes rifling through the BAM station in Honolulu in December, with no luck, but, I did find 2 printed Shakos, a printed Bicorne (BrickBeard print), and three of the blue vested pirate torsos.
