Hi

I've recently rediscovered the delights of Lego after many years and after buying a bumper load of assorted grey bricks at a car boot sale thought I might try and recreate some british southern railway concrete structures. I have started with a small goods shed which the railway built from standard framework, prefabricated panels and a corrugated roof. Below are a couple of photos of progress so far

The biggest challenge so far is trying to get the roof right, especially along the front edge. Would be really greatful for any C&C, ideas or tips :sweet:

Look's good so far, default_thumbup.gif I like the Idea of the corrugated roof and the rat under the structure.

Do you have any pics of the actual buildings? that way we can get a better idea as to what it should look like.

Great building so far though, Brick on!default_laugh_new.gif

Welcome to eurobricks tbroyd! This is really nice, perhaps changing the doors to a different colour might make it look better. Also making the concrete walls a little more weathered might give it a more real look (No part of the UK rail industry is perfectly clean  ).

Good luck with this, I was making one a while ago but got dispirited and sadly 'tis no more.

Thanks, CB

Thanks for the kind comments. I'll work on the weathering idea. I did try to start with but I felt it just looked a mess :sceptic:

I thought I had some green doors, still trying to sort and organise Lego at the moment but can't resist stopping to build things!

Off to try and find a photo of the real thing.....

Nice start 'tbroyd', iron roof trick...very clever. Now have you considered sliding doors and brown tiles as wooden decking for the floor of the shed and platform ?

Keep going and Brick On 'tbroyd' !

Neat little shed here. I have to agree with 'Lt' on either sliding doors or some brown swing doors to give it that rustic look to go with that great looking tin roof. Keep up the good work :classic:

Thanks for the suggestions. Have tried the sliding door idea and think it looks better.

Need to add a few details though, I think it needs a couple of flood lights. The small platform is where a lorry would back up to so the next think will be a box van or lorry
