mrts Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) Hi there! After like a year i finally made another moc: a city train station. Nothing really special, but i always wanted to build a realistic train station so here it is. I'm quite happy with how it turned out. You can view more pictures in the folder: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=468025 cya! Edited April 6, 2011 by mrts Quote

SilentMode Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Very nice! I can almost hear the announcer: "I'm sorry to announce that the 13:50 train to somewhere is delayed by approximately thirteen hours." Quote
amity498 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 (edited) love the design, simple but very effective. Ohh forgot to say its huge Edited April 4, 2011 by amity498 Quote
Gregorovich Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Excellent work, mrts! Its very big and impressive, yet very detailed. I like the bit at the side, with all the bike racks, the bins and the fire exit. Well done, and thanks for sharing! Quote
cimddwc Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Well, "Nothing really special"? I think it's great – you got some subtle architectural details in this big building without making it too fancy. I'm just wondering what your trains going from European cities to Tokyo and NY look like. Quote
AussieJimbo Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Fantastic station, mrts. Very well done. :classic: Quote
Ghandidcm Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 "Nothing really special" Just say: it's really special! I like it very much, hope to do something like that one day. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Lovely, beautiful, very elegant train station... I love the diamond cheese slope wall designs and the subtle but effective tan stripes along the length of the walls. Simply a magnificent creation mrts! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Great train station 'mrts' I have to agree with 'KielDaMan' on the checkered accents with those wedges, very nice. I see you have trains that run to New York, Tokyo, AND all over Europe This is a great build Quote
lightningtiger Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Totally AWESOME creation you have made there 'mrts'.....excellent SNOT cheese work too ! Are you planning any other support buildings i.e. signal box, etc., to join this beautiful station house ! Brick On ! Quote
hoeij Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Wonderful MOC, I wish I had a train station like that. I'm always amazed by these highly original MOC's. Usually all I do is to make small modifications to existing designs, e.g. see the picture in post #6 under "New Lego train fan(atic)". Even small modifications like that costs me a lot of time (change it, change it back, change it again, etc, two hours later and it still looks almost the same as what I started with). Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Very well done train station! But can you resize the pictures it took a while for them to load on my computer. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Very huge and great MOC! I love your snot technique! Any inside pictures? Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Awesome station, but please resize your image. Our max image size per EB's guidelines is 800x600. Much appreciated. Now let me go back and look at this fantastic station. Quote
henryhotspurs Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 A really nice station! Great windows and architectural features. It looks like it could accommodate many lines and passengers. Quote
mrts Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Hi all, Thanks for the replies! Glad you like it! This station has indeed some interesting destinations to choose from, haha. I couldnt find a better sticker, this one is from an airport legoset. I resized the picture i put in my first post. I left the pictures in the folder the same size though, because i dont want to loose too much quality. Quote
MetroiD Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 The great details make this one really stand out! Great job Quote
