Anxious to build something I thought what city doesn't have a Used Car Dealer? I mean you have to purchase those cars somewhere right? Well I started to build and build and this is what I came up with in a short amount of time.

Nice looking blue huh?

Like the title states this is a WIP and I'm not sure if I should continue with it or not. I figured that I would get the opinion of you good people before I made up my mind. So Comments and Suggestions would be great!

Nice looking used car dealer Syn! May I recommend making some custom cars instead of the two sports ones, but they can do great too. You could try getting the wheel chassis that holds the tires in instead of them sticking out. The Pick ups windscreen is a bit tall to me as well. I have left you with some suggestions and now some comments. I like how you made the plants like the ones in the Apple tree house excite it. The parts may actually be from the apple tree house right? The Roof looks almost done too. I like that you made some stoppers and yellow lines on where the cars need to be when on display. I like it and I hope this comment helps you! :classic:

(I need to stop editing my posts sorry.)

Not bad start 'Syn', more cars and a more modern looking office....combine with a garage/workshop and maybe a showroom for those more pricey cars !

Oh, and a sign....a big sign...create you own giant sticker with the dealers name on it.

And don't forget the dealer him or herself....why not a lady selling cars ?

Keep going and Brick On !

Great idea Syn, I think you have a good start, but the changes I would make are:

1. change the office front to have a couple full length glass windows and a all glass door

2. need a large billboard sign on top of the office

3. remove the parking blocks and paint lines(they look to much like customer parking spots than cars for sale),and then slightly angle all the cars in the lot, maybe build a ramp/stand to showcase one of the vehicles out front.

If I sound critical, I'm sorry..but these are the things I have noticed most the used car lots around my area have.

So, I hope this was helpful, and I look forward to seeing future versions!!!

What's a used car lot without the chattery, persuasive, sometimes manipulative salesman?

Don't forget to add some stickers on the windscreen suggesting the asking price, milage, year etc on each car. Yeah you should use glass frames for the front office to make it more like a dealership. I'm looking forward to see the finished project :classic::thumbup:

I just threw these cars on there because I had them lying around. The pickup is my MOC Pickup the only reason I went for the stand up windscreen is because it sits the top up higher like on a real pickup and it seems more truck like to me.

They are the plants from the Apple Tree House.

I ran out of Dark Gray, :hmpf_bad: so the roof didn't get finished.

Thank you for your input! I appreciate it!

I thought about that but most of the used car dealers around here are in little buildings like this if not retrofitted Mobile Homes or Modular Offices. I think if I ever do an official New Car Dealer then I will make the full plate glass.

I like the idea of the sign, just not a big Billboard but rather a sign out in front that says used cars, I'm thinking SNOT?

Ramp Stand Love that idea! I just didn't want the cars to look like they were jumbled in place with no order to the lot that's why I did the blocks and lines.

Thank you for that I have some more design and building to do!

You could ask a friend who owns a regular bubble jet printer or the like. Get a digital printing sticker paper, should be easily obtainable at your local stationary shops. However since these are water based inks, it's a good idea to laminate them with a clear 3M tapes, before cutting the stickers. This will protect them from getting smudged should you accidently spat on them..

A big 48 baseplate, don't really need a showroom for used cars me thinks, maybe a shelter though and like you said a small office, a mechanic working on a car, a clown to bring some people in, if you do get some stickers sale signs and prices on the cars windscreens would look good. If you're going for a snot sign something simple like 'Cars' could work.

I always thought about a car dealers, a used one and a new one, the new one with a nice show room and rotating thing and fancy sports cars where the used one would have smaller cars and like yours a small office and no showroom but a big plot with lots of cars. It's a good idea but it is a WIP.
