Sounds good  ! Here's what I think you should include...

-Make the walls colourful, and have an eyecatching sign.

-Slide open doors, with a "sensor" above it.

-Have plenty of windows on the bottom floor, with window displays inside. Have some mannequins displaying items.

-Inside have all the sports items that you own on shelves or hanging up on the wall. Use bricks to makes boxes or packages.

-Have a counter with a till.

-If you are making other floors, make them flats (or apartments if you're American).

Hope this helps, and good luck with your building!

Like Fuzzy said have a look at CC instructions and maybe GE.

Ground and first floor could be the shop with an apartment or something for the store owner at the top. You could also include a basketball net to test the balls, shoot some hoops.

For equipment well,

Baseball bats, tennis rackets, foot/soccer ball, basketball, skateboards, snowboards, surf boards, bicycles, if you don't mind customs, brickforge have golfclubs also brickarms have cricket bats. Also clothes like tracksuits, baseball caps, shorts, etc.

Thats all I can think of atm.

Bold and dynamic designing you need 'Antonio', plus with the new tennis racket, baseball bat plus the new hockey stick....well that adds to the basketball and soccer ball already available !

A fancy tv wall showing a soccer or basketball game on it would be good.

The frontage, corner one eh ?.......use this as a front window......

On it's side and in transclear....look at the service station in Town Plan to see how to attach this window to your building.

I would also try and use merchandising tricks that real sporting good stores use....how rackets and balls are displayed on walls or in dump baskets.

Good luck and keep us up to date with your progress too.....just do it....right, Brick On !

A list of sports related items to put in the shop. Divide them into sections and your should end up with a nice selection. I did this with a 20x16 modular and used my small surplus of these :classic:

-Bicycles

-soccer balls

-basket balls and

-accessories, goal posts, etc-sports apparel

-surf boards

-wind surf boards and sails

-diving equipment

-water sports equipment

-life vests

The last was a thought but, not something I have done

-minifig series accessories... for a price

Good luck!

Thank you for the help guys!

Yesterday i started the shop and the 1st floor is 90% complete (2 window wall elements are missing ,ill buy em as soon as possible :))I dont have much sport equipment but i have enough for the shop i think.

So the front of the shop looks like this:

front.jpg

To Gregorovich:

For the colourfull walls-i used my bricks in my city so i dont have much bricks left (you may see im lacking tiles >.> ,but i ordered from LUGBULK.

For the sensors-they are the blue cylinders with black bricks on top.

For the other things some are made some arent and will/wont be made.

To city boy:

I may include a flat TV i just forgot about it :/

And i dont have balls neither soccer neither basket.

To Fuzzylegobricks:

My last corner building was with the cafe corner's corner ,this one is going to be diffrent i will draw it and show it later.

To CptMugwash:

The 2nd and 3rd floor are going to be apartments for other people.

For the equipment i included some cloths and hats :)But i dont have the collectible sport figures (well some of them i have).

To Lightningtiger:

I think to make it more modern.

As i said to CptMugwash i dont have the sport figures :/

Nice idea for the window(i thought it too) ,but i wanted to make the door to be on the corner , and i dont have this piece, and i cant make orders from bricklink :(.

To Leg Godt Gud:

I used most of the things in the list, thanks! They were more common in city sets ,which i have.

So here are the equipments

For summer

Great sports shop MOC!! i like it that you seem to have a sports theme i.e. winter sports/water sports.

if u are to enlarge ur sports theme, 1 floor may not be enough. not to mention apparels.

Lookin good, Tony! Keep it up :]

As for the exterior - a sports shop would look good in a neo modernistic building of sorts, so you could try this for inspiration:

I really like how it's turning out, Antonio! I like how there's so many windows, just like there is on real shops. The displays inside are very nice, and I like the lamp outside. Well done, I look forward to seeing it finished!

Last year I visited a sports shop that looked 90% like yours  Great work.

The amount of sport goods is perfect in my opinion and the use of the skiing minifig in the window is great. I'm looking forward to the progress of this.

Okay, nice start 'Antonio'.....now you need a few scoba masks and ski mask/goggles too.

Can I assume up stairs will have tennis rackets, hockey sticks, baseball bats, soccer balls and basketballs ?

Sounds perfect for a double-storey sporting goods store - can't wait to see more.....oh, by the way that security camera is too low to the floor at least another brick higher would look better.

Anyway, great work and keep on going - Brick On 'Antonio' !

Looking great so far, 'Antonio' nice touch on the skiing manikin. I got another idea for you: Since you said "this was the first floor",assuming there is to be a second, you should pit in a rock climbing wall. Even if you don't have a put in a second floor, a "glass" enclosed climbing wall would give your store that sport "mega store" look. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see the finished product :classic:
