JopieK Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 In our newspaper I found this article: http://www.refdag.nl...n_lego_1_543158 It is in Dutch, but part of it is in English. Translation: Prince William and Kate marry in Lego 31-03-2011 16:00WINDSOR - Engeland is totally in the mood of the wedding of the year between prince William and Kate Middleton. Miniland is also paying a lot of attention to the wedding. Buckingham Palace was recreated in LEGO including the public, cameras, palace guard and of course William and Kate. Quote

A similar thing was done with the inauguration of President Barack Obama in the Washington, D.C. miniland at LEGOLAND California. I wonder if there are any even earlier instances of LEGO doing this, or if not whether this will become a trend (performing LEGO versions of newsworthy ceremonies and the like in LEGO minilands). Wout Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 On the website you can also see a little film about it. Nice. Quote

Indeed. Supposedly, this was done for every President (don't remember where I heard that, though), though I never saw it for anyone else. Quote

simonjedi Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Interesting. When are they supposed to get married anyway? 29th of April The UK media is grossly overestimating how much interest 'real people' actually have of the wedding Quote
