I've decided to start work on another vignette series. This time I intend to illustrate a medieval role for each letter of the alphabet (don't ask what I will do when I get to 'X').

The idea came to me while I was working on the Blacksmith, so I started with 'B,' I have also incorporated two previous vignettes, into the series, so 'D' and 'S' are finished also. I will, however, go back and begin with 'A,' next and proceed in order from there. But until then, here is the entry for 'B:'

I love this. I've always had a strange soft spot in my heart for blacksmiths. And this is a great example. I mean the wall seems a little bland, but otherwise the details are great. I love the light bley and dark bley bars mixed together to give the feel of different metals.

The wall and furnace need work but the mixed bars and other little details are ingenious. Good work.

God Bless,
