brickmack Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Ok, so this is my first steampunk creation. It came out pretty well for a first attempt I think. Captain's quarters/cargo area/map room Quote
Fuzzylegobricks Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Nice first SteamPunk ship! I like the use of the pharoh test minifigs. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Not really bad for your first steampunk build brickmack, thought I'm not a fan of huge <insert that tiresome argument> pieces. Still, nice work on this one. Quote

I'm not either, but I couldn't think of any better way to make the curved shape I wanted for the back area, and make the front section without using up a lot of space for the bricks, so I made an exception. CptMugwash Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Nice first attempt, you definately captured that steampunk look I don't mind those big prefab cockpit pieces used for the front and back, although me thinks the back needs some kind of roof/cover. I like the use of those technic links for the chains around the propellars and the little stool too. Good job! Quote
lightningtiger Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Neat steam-punk creation 'brickmack', I agree that a rear covering is required for that bed at least....what if it rains ? Great work and Brick On 'brickmack' ! Quote

Great work and Brick On 'brickmack' ! I agree there. I was thinking about how to make a roof for that area, but LEGO never made any non-inverted ones of that pre-fab part I used on the back in old grey or brown. I have been experimenting with making a roof with the same part I used for the bottom but flipped and connected with technic parts, but I haven't finished yet. I'll post pictures if I do get a roof added. Quote
White Nun Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Oh yes that's just so perfectly steampunk. What an absolutely delightful model. Quote
Delta62 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I'm a fan of steampunk as well and I have two words to describe this. A very simple and Elegent design. Quote
