Lalror Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Well, this is a moc that I did using the LU mode in LDD, and I think it kinda turned out pretty good. I tried to give it a little bit of a hotrod look, but steampunky, and WWIIy look at the same time. Hope you like it! Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Quite nice, Lalror. I love the feel of the craft as a whole, the only thing that sort of sticks out is that studs-up plate at the bottom, which doesn't really fit in with the rest of the model IMO. Nothing fancy needed, even making it 1-wide or flipping it over to be studs-down would work. (although you know me - I'd love to see some fancy SNOT work there) Quote
Lalror Posted March 27, 2011 Author Posted March 27, 2011 I was considering doing that, or trying to eliminate the base altogether, but I kinda wanted a cool chassis, and so I used a simple 2x10 to give it what I thought was a good looking appearance. Its also a similar to some old cars that I have seen which was what I was trying to do. Thanks for your kind words, I hope to try to do some more LDD moc's here soon. ~Lalror Quote
Superkalle Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Well, this is a moc that I did using the LU mode in LDD, and I think it kinda turned out pretty good. I tried to give it a little bit of a hotrod look, but steampunky, and WWIIy look at the same time. Hope you like it! I really like that the colors stand out so cool against the black background. Super. For the rest, I think I'll agree with Brickdoctor Quote
Lalror Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 That is possibly one of the things I enjoy most about LDD, the colors. Its nice being able to use colors that are found only on Hero Factory pieces, and it really gives a lot more options in terms of creativity! Quote
Delta62 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 That is really cool and I like the design. Reminds me of The anime series called The Last Exile. Quote
Tereglith Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 (edited) ...steampunky, and WWIIy look at the same time. Hope you like it! That's basically a particularly succint definition of what Dieselpunk is, and this MOC is a good example of its aesthetic. And yes, I do like it! That engine is great!
