Hello Eurobricks members!

This is essentially my first post here, and first public MOC, so go easy on me! ;) I have just recently come out of my Dark Ages (as the saying goes) as an adult with 2 kids, and have some bigger projects in the works, but I felt compelled to share with you this simple vignette.

The inspiration comes from my own crude recording setups as a teenager. The acoustic guitar is from brickforge.com and the minifigure was one of the exclusive minifigures given out at the recent LEGO store opening in Costa Mesa, CA.

Hope you enjoy!

Haha, cool little vig, I like the detail on the cabinet, I'd like to see how you've done the toilet.

I too have a BF acoustic guitar and love it, I've got the violin aswell and I'm looking forward to the new electric guitar with the punk rocker from minifig series 4, which I plan on doing a music store moc with.

Anyways back on track, are the transparent bricks suppose to be a mirror?

Cool little moc and as the saying goes 'join the club' I've recently come out of my dark ages too.

I look forward to seeing more from you.

Thanks everyone for your comments!

I think the scene would probably be familiar to amateur musicians; recording in the bathroom can create and capture some unique sounds because of the reverberation/echo of the room. It isn't something that professionals would do normally (because the smooth surfaces like the mirror and the tile can make capturing a "pure" sound very difficult), but I have certainly done this myself on more than one occasion to capture a slightly different sound. :P

@CptMugwash: The toilet is just a simple round brick + round tile for the seat and 2x1 bricks and tiles topped by a 2x1 cheese slope for the back part of it. I thought about doing more to make it more realistic, but couldn't get the shape right for the size of the vignette. And yes, the trans-black bricks are the mirror (I didn't have and still don't know of any pieces that could represent a mirror without using stickers). The trans-blue panels are supposed to be part of a sliding glass shower door and you should be able to see the shower faucet in the background.

Haha, I love this scene, great idea and the bathroom is very well done. I just hope there's no webcam in his computer while he's doing both his recording and you-know-what. Great job unbornchicken!
