Ickelpete Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I was looking on Amazon UK today and noticed that they have listed the new technic sets X-D 8285 tow truck 8289 fire truck 8288 crawler crane all listed Here It says that they will be available from 10th August I must start saving :-/
xwingyoda Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 Tks for this news hehe ;-) I guess you better start saving as of now :-P I shall move this to the BSTF ;-) *yoda*
gylman Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I know we've had this debate before, but I still think that the truck looks weird - not proportional. However, it looks like this will be one of the very few 2006 items I will buy as soon as it's available. I have a lot of pent-up demand to release
Hobbes Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I know we've had this debate before, but I still think that the truck looks weird - not proportional. I thought so, too, but it seems tow trucks in the States do look like that: Still looks odd to me... But there's always the Classic Tow Truck ;-)
Hobbes Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Double post because of different subject. I just noticed that Amazon shows a different piece count for the truck than S@H: 8285 @ S@H (choose a European country) says 1877 pieces 8285 @ Amazon.de says 1831 pieces ("LEGO Teile" at the end of the paragraph) Same goes for the Crawler Crane: 8288 @ S@H says 800 pieces 8288 @ Amazon.de says 760 pieces Now, it could be that LEGO lists all the pieces that come in the box and Amazon just lists the pieces the model is made of (without the spare pieces). But why would they (Amazon) do that and where would they have the exact numbers from? Kinda weird... *wacko*
