Referees

Well, after watching my team last night and seeing the referee giving about 20 yellow and 4 red cards, I'm starting to wonder...does anyone else think the referees just plain suck? I've seen few good ones so far.

The best example is of course the referee who gave 3 yellow cards to the same player. But seriously, yesterday's match just was terrible to see. It was more like a battlefield then a footbaal match...

What are your thoughts on this?

hm... some really seem to have lost it... i also haven't seen the major Champoin's leaque refs here...

in any case, they seem to enjoy yellow and red coloured cards to people

I agree the ref at the Holland game was terrible and should pack his bags and leave right now.

I can't remember exactly but it was something like 25 fouls and 20 cards. That just shows how often he was giving them out.

well it seems they've been severely briefed about several typical negative elements in a game , like stalling, hitting people in the face,... so now many refs are pretty shaky... they're nervous about making mistakes and having to leave the cup because of it...

Ivanov, if that was the ref's name , is a typical case: he started to give cards very early in the game for practically nothing and then just couldn't go back to just giving warnings. whenever he saw something pretty bad, or thought he'd seen something pretty bad, he just couldn't give a simple warning anymore, but had to give some colour of a card... it's a cascade, really...

Ivanov (just to name him) is a freaking idiot !!

If only he gave directly a red card on the aggression on Cristiano Ronaldo, we wouldn't have seen that game of "catch" !! That is a disgrace for football and sports in general >:-(

I think he will blacklisted on FIFA's book forever >:-)
