Hi everyone,

here is one of my two recently made art deco themed MOCs, a Miami Ocean drive styled hotel with 3 floors of details. Hope you like!

Click here to see the images! Sorry about the quality of the pics, camera phone is not good in this light :) Click here to see the other art deco themed office corner MOC I made

Comments and questions welcomed!

Okay, I challenge you to build a F.W. Woolworth store next, man.....the hotel and that dam COOL bus....YES sweet looking 30's style 8 wide coach !

'snaillad' what a build....what a MOC !

The hotel's exterior just has enough trim without being too much.....you know when a enough is enough in the exterior trimmings !

Now the interior, SCREAMING late 20's/early 30's ART DECO, the black triangular lines at the reception counter...oh, the counter too and the bar....yep, I'll drink there too !

The beautiful rooms and that bathroom....the basin and tub best I have ever seen.

I feel someone might get a FP soon !

Keep them comming 'snaillad' and Brick On !

Great Work

The bus in particular stands out to me, I like the curve for the back of the bus roof, and the window patterning on the sides, along with the color transition from the grey of the base to the white of the body of the bus.

The building is great! It reminds me of a few that I have seen while touring the Florida panhandle. It really captures some of the architecture that you can find there. The light blue accents are well done, and give it just enough color to keep it from feeling bland.

(Edit) Just realized that it does have an interior, going to go look at it now.

That is a great MOC! Sell that to TLG!

I made a hotel similar to this at one time.

I actually really like that moc hotel, ive seen it before, I really wanted to do a full rounded corner like the raleigh hotel but proved difficult to look good and make it modular. I did toy with the idea of a balcony around the sides and windows like yours but eventually settled on some small window coverings.

I love the conservative overall look of this hotel, with its clean white finish highlighted with light blue strips. It's a breath of fresh air from other highly-detailed modular buildings. The bus is very well done too, I like the nice curved and smooth finish. Very well done snaillad!

Really an impressive MOC. From the size and interior of the rooms, I would say, it's a first class hotel. They are really spacious. And I like the linen room. Nice little detail  It would be a joy to work there.

Very impressive hotel, snaillad! The exterior is absolutely beautiful-better than any modular house so far, but the interior is really the best part. I love the way you used the black and white tiling on the first floor, and the small bar across from the check-in desk. The upstairs rooms are pretty nice too, and I like the furniture you made for them, especially the twin beds.

Thanks! The great thing about art deco is the streamlining imo. Was debating whether to do in mainly white and highlight in yellow, tried highlighting in tan and didn't look right. Eventually settled in blue after far too much time googling Ocean drive
