Geki Brick Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I started following this site last fall and found out how much of a curse spoilers can be when I'm thinking about my wishlist 24/7. Spoilers do get you looking forward and impatient :) Do you guys feel the same way? Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I'm not the kind of guy who sees a set and has to have it right away or goes out and buys on impulse (mostly not, at least, on the second one), so for me it's nice to know what's coming up so I can plan what I want to buy. I'm also not someone to run down and snap up a set the day it's released; I prefer to wait for a good sale. And as an MOCer who will part out sets within a week without fail, it's also nice to see what new pieces are coming out that I could use. I don't like posting an MOC and then finding out that there's a new piece coming out that would be perfect for it, so that's also a benefit of spoilers. (although sometimes the piece will come in an unannounced set, but spoilers decrease the chance of having to rework a model for one piece. Basically what it comes down to is that I don't desire to have a set right away and I like to plan ahead, so I do like spoilers. Quote
Omicron Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Seeing it from a customizors viewpoint, it is a good thing. Seeing the new parts Lego has in store allows me to plan ahead on figs and get the advantage. -Omi Quote
brickmack Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I like knowing what LEGO is coming out with early. Gives me some time to think about what I'm going to build with any new parts. Of course a lot of the time I go a bit nuts and start counting down days until sets are released so I can get them... Quote
dr_spock Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 No problem. I can wait. It's nice to see what is coming down the pipe for planning purposes. Quote

Spoilers do get you looking forward and impatient :) Do you guys feel the same way? I sometimes research upcoming sets and calculate my funds and sets, but after the preparation process is done, it feels like I'm waiting for dinosaurs with heavy weapons on my back, but they never came 'cause they are extinct, but I waited and waited and got very exausted. So, it's 50-50. Quote
