Peppermint_M Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Professor Babbington’s Superior Steam Powered Mechanical Horse Alternative "Ladies and gentlemen, there is a blight, a Blight I say, upon this fine nation of ours. What is this foul spot upon the empire? This reprehensible issue of which I speak? Why it is the odious droppings of a beast most fearsome, yet so relied upon: The Horse. Every day tonnes of their foul excretions besmirch our streets and offend our noses. However there is no alternative to their power aside from steamship and train and these great mechanical achievements of man are too large to make progress along our roads . Thus I present to you my superb alternative to this twitchy creature: The Superior Steam Powered Horse Alternative. While my esteemed colleague Professor Percival is producing his own AutoCarriage it has one unfortunate handicap of great size. This machine of mine is nimble and can travel along any road or highway that the creature it replaces it can. Powered by clean replenish able steam with none of the foul odours a horse creates. My test pilot shall demonstrate it’s capabilities." Hope CptMugwash doesn't mind testing it for me More in the flickr set. A Steampunk imagining of my original concept The Horseless Horse Quote
Captain Becker Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 First i readed the title Professor Paddington You know, that cute little bear from kids shows? Anyways, moving back to the topic. Nice MOC/MOD again from you old `Horsless horse`bike. Everything its nice and easy and the CptMugwash wont mind i guess Atleast if the bike blows up, he can be proud at he was the first one who actually had the change to drive it . Great work Pepper*Azzhooo*Mint. Captain Becker Quote
MetroiD Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Peppy, this creation of yours could make me reconsider my choice not to build any Sci-Fi / steampunk stuff. Love it!!! Quote
Henchmen4Hire Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 That's spiffy how you used different parts and still ended up with the same general shape. I like the technomagical version more though :P Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 Oh, I prefer the tecnomagical ones too, I am afraid this steampunk one just slipped out, partially because the boiler idea was so tempting and also to show that there is a difference between the two styles. There is more to the aesthetics of Steampunk than a few brass gears with a boiler and there is (hopefully) a visible difference between Steampunk and Castlepunk. Hope you enjoyed my brief return to Steampunk MOCing! Quote
Miss Kyle Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 I love all the steampunk MOCs coming up these days! The horse alternative is fantastic, well done! Quote
CptMugwash Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Haha! This has made my day Ofcourse I don't mind, I feel honoured Nice use of the horn and lamp and I'm still loving those wheels I must try my hand at one sometime, maybe with a sidecart Cheers, CptMugwash Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 15, 2011 Author Posted March 15, 2011 I think this may be the last of my steampunk for a while, I have moved too far into castlepunk/technomancy now! Quote
Baylego Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 This is pretty cool! I actually prefer this one over your Castlepunk one. Quote
