I've enjoyed checking this forum and seeing everyone's Lego creations so I thought I would try and share one of mine. This is a 7 stud wide blue sports car and it seats 2 minifigs. Thanks for looking.

Awesome work! Glad you made it a blue car as well, it's one of those colours that doesn't get much love these days. I don't think I've ever seen those wheels/rims before, but they add to the design.

Very nice sleek-looking sports car danthaman11! I really like the overall design as a model, but it looks rather wide relative to the 'standard' 4-6 wide vehicles. But still, nothing can take away the coolness of this build, good job!

That's a very nice and sleek looking car. It reminds me a bit of a 'sixties Corvette or perhaps a Dodge Viper. It does look enormous with the figure standing next to it, though, illustrating the limitations inherent in trying to build a car suitable for seating minifigs side-by-side. This is one of the reasons why I settle for building single seaters or don't use minifigs with my cars at all.

Cheers,

Ralph

Digging the colour and the interior - a lot! Although I'm generally with Ralph on the issue of size and minifig dimensions, I must say I really love this one. Great job on the interior too.

A very nice and sleek sports car! Furthermore, it is coated with blue and it is one of my favourite colours.

Apart from the scale, this is actually a very good design. Thanks for sharing. I could see in your sigfig that you have more of those sports cars.

Thank you for all the kind comments! I'm glad you all like my car.

Thanks! I'm glad you like the blue. I made this car in a couple of other colors but I really liked the way in turned out in blue. The wheel/rims come from the speed racer sets. I believe the wheel covers were only available in those sets.

I'm glad you liked the car even if its not built to the 4 stud car 6 stud truck standard that Lego has. I saw a couple of other replies where they mentioned the width. I am definately not a traditionalist when it comes to cars. In my Lego city its 6 stud cars or wider. I really like the larger cars and how they look with the modular style buildings plus I think its cool to have a car that seats 2. My male minifigs are happy they can take their female minifigs for a ride. I have noticed that Lego seems to be making their 6 wide cars larger, and I think a well made 7 wide car can look good with those vehicles but for those that have a lot of 4 wide cars in their cities I completely understand that a 7 wide car will look way out of proportion.

Thanks for liking the design. You noticed my other sports car on my sigfig. This has been a good experience so I will have to share some of my other cars.
