BrickWild Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 As I've unravelled a big ball of yarn and I want to get it wound on a spool quickly, I'm planning on constructing an automatic yarn winder powered by a either a PF or 9V motor and consisting of a sturdy spool holder & a 'spreader arm', which works like a windscreen wiper and also, some gearing. I remember building one from an early Lego Dacta set using instructions from an educational idea book. Do you have any ideas? I want to make it small & fast. Quote

BrickWild Posted March 3, 2011 Author Posted March 3, 2011 Does anyone have this book in English? It may have a pic of a similar device. Quote
DLuders Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Starting on this Bricklink page, there are four pages of available 1030/1031 Building Cards available from varioud sellers worldwide. Some of them are even willing to e-mail you pictures of the cards before you buy them. If you already have the book (in Dutch), you could patiently type in the Dutch text into an online language translator (like Yahoo Babelfish), and translate blocks of text from Dutch to English (or any other combination of major languages).
